ESTUARY OPTIONS - BRIDGES, CANALS, MANGROVES, THE DEEP

I love the option of fishing a variety of grounds when fishing estuary's. In this session I started early on the bridge pylons then headed into the canals before making my way to the Oyster racks and mangroves, finishing in the deep for a full day on the water.
I fished for Bream on the bridge and again in the canals, I also used a 155mm Crossfire lure to see if I could stir up a winter Flathead, however ended up hooking into some nice Taylor. I found a few more Bream in the Mangroves and also in the deep.
I also tested a Sea anchor to slow down my drift as the wind pushed me along and found it very helpful.
Landed a nice 970 gram Bream a 38cm tipper, the Taylor were all over 40cm and a few other legal size Bream for what was a great day on the water, but not red hot.

It has been a bit hit and miss in the Mangroves at the moment. But it’s fun fishing when there on 👍🏼

Thanks Mark, yes love time spent on the water. Heading off for a trip with my brother on Sunday for a week up north. Had some cracking fishing trips with my brother over the years. I had a tinnie for years and my two kids grew up in it. On that I used to take a potty for the kids. Simple but effective. On the kayak it is a bit different, and can mean paddling to places that have public toilets. Boat ramps and marinas and parks etc. On the kayak it’s a bit easier for guys, eg an empty bottle carried on board, and sometimes you are fishing in a suburban area so you need to be discreet 😂. Thanks for following my channel 👍🏼
