    Make sure if you are on reservation land that you have a indian ,CRIT fishing license. If you do not and you get caught they can fine you and take your gear and vehicle. Be safe

    This was actually the best fishing video I’ve seen in a very long time, if not the best I’ve ever seen. Too many other fishing channels quickly devolve into: “Hey everyone, come watch me fish at another undisclosed location.” Or there is of course the other fan favorite: “Oooo! Watch me eat whatever I catch!” These videos grow tiresome very quickly. However, there was much more helpful information in this video than in perhaps 50 other videos from other channels. BRAVO!!!

    Our list of fish from the canals so far is red ear, bluegill, tilapia, large, small and striped bass, common and grass carp, flathead and channel cats. We fish the canal that you have in your recent desert canal videos. Catching the panfish really is a struggle. Our most caught fish is small mouth bass.

    The flathead seems like a hard fish to find and catch. But there’s one fish that you missed. This fish is probably the most elusive out of the other species that live in the SRP canals. How they found their way there is a bit of a mystery And they are not easy to find or even catch for that matter. And that fish is… The striped bass

  • @TheFishinMagician20

    @TheFishinMagician20

    Correct! And because of that very reason, I decided not to include them. I know of one maybe 2 canal sections that have them so I figured that was very scarce and not worth including. I haven’t even tried to target them myself actually

    Nice vid, Mark! I'd say with artificials and flies, panfish are easiest, followed by bass, then carp, then catfish... I only know a few guys who can consistently catch flatheads on artificials (which would be pretty epic)! Arizona canals .... 🤙🤙🤙🤙✌️🎣

    I wanted to give more specifics about trespassing law in AZ. True, there is no requirement to have a sign stating no trespassing in AZ. Also true, if a property is not gated, it is pretty much fair game. The comment where you said, 'you could be treapassing and zero way for you as a citizen to find out if you are," isn't completely correct. A reasonable person generally knows if they are trespassing when they are some place they know they should not be (nuclear generating station, police station, water treatment plant, railroad track, hiding in ex-girlfeinds closet), even if there was no sign and the door/gate was left open. If someone is sitting in your front yard (no fence) and there is no - no trespassing signs, they are not trespassing. If you tell them to "get off my lawn!" and they don't leave, then they are trespassing because they've been given reasonable notice, by you, verbally. Put that same person into your backyard and it's got a fence around it, then they are trespassing even without telling them. Even with no sign. It's all about reasonable notice. It comes down to either you need a barrier of some kind (even a red velvet rope?) or something else that lets people know that they do not have permission to be there (a sign/verbal notice). Basically, if you have to walk through a gate, or door, climb over a fence, squeeze between two sections of fence, cross the red velvet rope, you're obviously trespassing. Otherwise, you have an legal argument that you weren't given prior reasonable notice that you did not have permission to be somewhere. The CAP canals are usually fenced in pretty good and the RWCD canals are signed everywhere. It would be hard to argue that you didnt see the signs. So go forth and fish! Most likely you'll ne good. Because if your trespassing, you most likely already know it.

    Great info 🔥 yea absolutely there’s some section 1000% gates and not allowed. But man sometimes there’s these little dirt roads I follow, I start fishing and an hour later a truck rolls by and says hey no fishing here. I say I didn’t see any signs , and they say yea we got one a mile up the road 😂 crazy. In CA private property has to be posted every 25ft I believe

    Probably to prevent over crowding that area and pounding that area hard. I hate to say it but allota folks who fish don’t treat the area or fish right, so long as they land the biggest fish for FB or the gram what happens outside doesn’t really matter. I’ve seen it to where a really good spot for bass get ruined because someone posted the location and tons of people swarmed the area. If you are really curious on where he fishing look up all the canals aforementioned on his video on google maps you’d be suprised how easy it is to get to the spots he’s fishing.
