Been an F1 fan for the best part of 30 years and here are my thoughts. I listened to your points and seems like there some contradictions: You say at the beginning, “all the WEC cars look similar”, yet they are “allowed to innovate within the rules much more than F1”. So, why are all the cars so similar then? “F1’s rules don’t allow as much innovation in the rules, yet Red Bull were able to innovate and find more performance than other car”. Seems contradictory to then say “wouldn’t it be great if all F1 cars were like the Red Bull”. To me, it looks like there is more innovation going on in F1, especially when you look at the recent races, being won by multiple cars/drivers. Canada last weekend especially showed how exciting the racing was throughout the whole race. The likes of Ferrari, McLaren and Mercedes are constantly bringing upgrades throughout the season to be more competitive. Which is why we’ve seen McLaren and Ferrari win races this season. I’m watching Le Mans 24 hour and seeing the safety car out on track, lap after lap for hours on end is a bore. I’m sorry, but for me, WEC is no where near the excitement an F1 GP brings.

Some fair points. I would say that the variation in Hypercar design is the same as what there is in F1 - differences but then convergence to a similar design. My point about lots of Red Bull’s was an example to show how the spread of performance is much closer from the get go in the way WEC regulations are written - but I think it was the wrong way to illustrate my point. And the safety car thing I can’t do anything about 😂🤷🏻♂️. A lot of people have said they’d love the idea of WEC ‘Sprints’ where it’s a Hypercar-only 90min race. How would you feel about something like that? Thanks for watching mate 🙌🏼

F1 nowadays is merely a show trying to be served as a race, not the other way around... The most obvious to see that is to look at the new tracks that are being shoved down our mouths : - Jedda - Vegas - Miami - Hanoi (Yes, I'm counting that one even though it has been binned) - Madrid All of these tracks try really hard to serve us that 💫glamour💫 factor. But it doesn't come with anything in terms of "raceability".

It's hardly a problem! I think we'll see (and are seeing) that WEC comes back to the prominence and relevance it had back when it it was the World Sports Car Championship (Group C era). You had strong independents and big manufacturers at a reasonable cost for them and the crowd. The latter developing components for F1 (or another series/ road car). Fundamentally great for motorsport, and I'd imagine there's some backdoor way of "legally" performing R&D. I don't think longer races necessarily equates to value for money, anyone who's attended an endurance race will attest, on track action will get processional for a few hours. But trackside atmosphere at the larger events is usually electric.

Singapore GP gave them a real taste of the potential of setting a race at the heart of a major city, where literally everyone in the city, be it fans or not, could easily watch and get to experience something really unique and is usually very troublesome to participate (traditional track locations are usually quite remote).

I think when Audi enters then MAYBE there will be more interest in Germany (there isn't that much even with Mercedes). They do need a new German hero. Nurburgring GP track is still one of my favourite tracks. The only part I do not like about the track was the Tilke expanded turn 1-4 complex that replaced the chicane. It doesn't flow like the rest of the track does
