I am One Proud Bavarian and I release videos to everything related or coming from Paradox Interactive, because I'm a huge grand strategy fan.
Videos usually go live in the European evening!. That might be roleplay, gameplay, discussion or idea pitch videos - you get a massively varying package of Crusader Kings and Victoria 3 and general gaming content!

I'm fine with Administrative empires being strong in maintaining a huge empire, as this system introduces way more internal shenanigans. But yeah, feudal empires are already absolutely unstoppable, so if these are just an upgrade... why do we even keep playing ? I hope this will be brought with some nerf on feudal empires, and that the administrative internal fights will be dangerous and could bring the empire to collapse at some point.
Put off reading the DD, waiting for this... worth it

Perfect!!!
These DDs are so damn long... One additional piece of info: The requirements for the "Adopt Administrative Gov" decision have already been revised. My personal dislike of it still very much exists, so it doesn't inherently change anything I said about it.
It would be cool if you could build an actual professional military and not just a militia and build forts in territories without having to establish a settlement. Making custom formations would be cool too. My only question from there would be about horses because I would love break the enemy with calvary

Personally the last time I played Ck2 was... about 3 hours ago. I have nothing against Ck3 but it always has such long load times, and I don't know... there's just something about Ck2, I guess it's just familiar.
While reading the dev diary I’d just gloss over the AI stuff. But know that you gave context I think that could save the game
Can't this mod be downloaded from paradox?
Strongly agree. It's really disappointment how separated and one off these DLC are.
The battle mechanics of this game are a nightmare
It's a bit like the "Anno" Series. I hope it will be possible to build a more realistic walled village + castle/manor.
Every tutorial about this game seems to suck.
Seems like there should be more of a coherent long term vision for the DLCs rather than the one-shot grab bag approach.
I predict that the admin government will feel too similar to clan government. Like ... putting admin "themes" and clan "Tax jurisdictions" next to each other, will there really be a significant difference? Now, the "The Emperor can have their vassals go to war for them" sounds interesting. Previously, you had to go to war yourself and then give that newly acquired land to one of your vassals. It appears, now you can say "You see that count bordering my empire right where your duchy is? You go and take his county for yourself." I wonder if you can have vassals fight for your own claims, though. and then you would reward them in some other way than with the land they conquered. 13:55 except, you do. When you have clans as your vassals, the tax collector pops up even if you aren't clan yourself. Which in the end will just mean you have a wild mishmash of government types that you have to interact with, but that don't interact with each other. 16:20 Yeah, the existing schemes are already the most lackluster part of the game. There is .. sway, befriend, seduce and romance as personal schemes and murder, fabricate hook and abduct (and claim throne) for hostile schemes. I find myself almost never scheeming, because unless I am building my faith for polyamory I don't use seduction that often. Unless I got chivalry from my culture, I don't use romance a lot. Sway never seems to matter, when you actually have issues with opinion from vassals, cause you can't sway multiple people at once or the sway opinion bonus is not high enough. Befriend has a limit on how many friends you can have. Hostile schemes have big drawbacks when they get detected. I hope political schemes interact more with resources. a "gain influence" scheme, a "gain piety" scheme, a "gain prestige" scheme and so on. schemes to gain hooks and/or claims. particularly the scheme to gain a hook without fabricationg it. Making it transactional instead. "pay X influence to gain a hook" 55:45 The balancing scares me in the way of how this compares to landless adventurers. Will adventurers have like a "mobile camp" they can improve in similar ways or will the game establish some sort of "you need to change your government/gameply type to an Admin government to become more powerful.
Got hyped by the dev diary myself. Your worries are very understandable though, but I don't see how on earth you can be positive about legends of all things but negative about this
Ck3 AGOT has been getting me through!

What I'm getting from this video is that OPB cannot really decide whether to go team historically authentic or team gameplay. The whole rant about modular governments was making me think he is team historically authentic (and I agree with his takes and the idea of modular governments seems interesting to me) but after that he starts yapping about being forced to make a cadet branch and having to build up estate once again, which probably would be more historically accurate yet that doesn't seem as fun to him. At this point ask yourself, what do you actually want? Because many cases you cannot have both, and it's really annoying if at one point you're whining about historical authenticity, and then when you get that you start whining about gameplay being difficult or unfair.
I don't think those two instances are in opposition to each other at all. The brother of the house head being completely disconnected from the family estate is not a historical thing, no.
@@OneProudBavarian How do you imagine it working? In video you said that you would be lounging at house until you would be given something to do. How do you imagine that would go for gameplay? Waiting for some events to fire off? Like what do you actually imagine you would be able to do at estate, if you can't manage it and therefore can't reap the benefits either.
i hope you eventually get the 25gold trade route perk 😂
You have a great historical insight in systems of governance.

Any tips to keep the game from crashing my larger cities keep pooing out
While I agree modular government would be ideal, I really feel you're missing the mark in blaming this expansion. That ship sailed when tribal and feudal governments were still separate on game launch. If they weren't building it into the foundations of the game from the start, there was never any chance they were going to somehow retrofit it in after the fact.
Well if you think about it another way, the more government types they add the more you can modify your government with different pieces from here and there but i also often think there should be a system to change overtime naturally as most governments did or fight against it but at huge price or risk to doing so but also to just make your own with selectable titles when making something truly unique

I need o understand what kingdom teir titles do on admin govs
When will the next gameplay series come out?
“why is everyone talking about seeing shrek, i sti-“ oh 😭
In hindsight its one of the worst ideas imaginable, I can see how someone at that period in time could think its a good idea though.
Can’t wait for this game to be on game pass for Xbox
Every slav's worst nightmare is to be protected by other slavs.
Legends of the dead is horrible im a full role player but it just adds useless boring repeat events and the plagues happen way too often and get very repetitive. If they add some more variety I'd still just give it a 7.
"If you really want to learn a lot about history, then read a book" Though I chuckled for a good five minutes at the dry delivery, I can only highlight the importance of what you are saying, especially given the current global situation. Danke für das interessante Format und die lustigen Stunden, mach weiter so und weiterhin viel Spaß beim zocken!
Loving this series, I am spending my tax money on a new pc to play this game. I’m officially one proud subscriber of One Proud Bavarian.
kkkk
I disagree about the family attributes because I prefer stacked modifiers.
b v
government and laws mechanics are just unlocked by flags, so ,mods can still be a holp
Surely there'd be a way of gaining land nearby outside of the Empire after losing your theme
Not holy, not Roman
Reminds me of town in Kingdomcome
Great job!
this is much better than what weve traditionally gotten for byzantium . and its much much better than ck2
Will you do some new RP playthroughs when the update comes out? I've been missing them since Vela
"Hes a social Democrat.. *proudbavarian stares at the camera fot a second, his face emerges with disgust* hes a communist." By far the funniest proudbavarian moment
