Indeed the 101" wheelbase and narrow track will get you places 4 door JK's and Jl's cant go on larger tires

No if you listen to my commentary in the video I talk about a mat that helps prevent fuel from sloshing in the fuel cell had deteriorated and that’s what all the material is from.

@@laithbot6318 lol what are you talking about? Those aren’t even welds that’s a pinch seam folded over and the paint I put on it is chipping after 3 years of hard wheeling. No welding involved right there 🤣

Looks like a really nice switch panel. Someday I would like one like this. For now, I’m gonna have to stick with my super cheap 5 rocker switch setup while I keep building the steering and suspension on the old K10.

Only 3 bolts per frame rail side hold the arm/crossmember?

Yep you can choose to weld it as well as the crossmember can be removed form the link mounts.

How dose your xj do wheeling in the AZ heat? I’m personally always worried about it overheating even tho I’ve redone the whole cooling system just Becuse they always run so hot. anything in particular you recommend on prep before hitting the trails to have some peace of mind or am I just overthinking it😅I’m in Utah so not as hot AZ but still!

It does excellent and it’s just a bone stock cooling system that I’ve always maintained rigorously. It never over heats even on 105 degree days. Just gotta take care of them and make sure you have good airflow through the rad. If the AC condenser fins are plugged with debri it will cause low airflow.

Love XJ's and at the moment doing alot I mean alot of work to my 97 4 door frame stiffeners, as well as the coil spring conversion in the rear what springs did you go with? I'm also doing a ton swap 05 dana 60 3 linked up front, 14 bolt with disk break conversion and 4 linked in the rear both regeared with 5.38's on 40's

I went with the front 3 link w/Jonny joint's from iron rock off road I got a screaming deal from black Friday last year and I've pieced the 4 link in rear, from Barnes 4WD, and the coil spring conversion from Clayton off road, was thinking a max lift of 6.5/7" would be ideal, waiting till I finish up the front and rear axle and get them back under bolted up and start flexing it out to see what the clearances are and what my number's will be for shocks and bump stops, limiting straps, and hopefully not a bunch of spring changes to find the right one's

I installed the same on mine the groove for the clips didn't fit tho and if I would have Installed it like you did it woold sit loose in the rail so I just put em in without the clips guess it's fine not sure tho.....

No sir the inner c’s don’t need preheat only the differential housing itself does.

This is kinda a weird question but is your cherokee super loud inside? I just got done redoing the entire front end with iro 3 link ota track bar cross over steering everything and I can hear a bunch of suspension noise link clanks all the time when driving and its pretty annoying. I was just curious since we have a similar setup I wasn't sure if that's just unibody life or if I should be concerned and checking things over

Mines relatively quiet honestly. But my description of quiet might be completely different from yours haha. The only thing that gets loud over time is the heims on my OTA track bar. Quick shot of tri flow and they quit making noise though.

I just did a track bar on my 03 king ranch f250 for anyone wondering you really don’t have to take the tie rod loose from the pitman arm I’ve seen many videos and everyone always took the tie rod from the pitman arm off to drop it down to get to the passenger side bolt. No need to get yourself a 6” extension and it puts you outside the tie rod and it makes it a lot easier to remove 2 bolts instead of 3 and risk damaging the boot on the tie rod

She looks great with those flares. I have a 93 4door country in burgundy with gold trim. I have those flares laying around & was gonna use em. But I’m having to sacrifice the XJ for my MJ. The MJ will be getting some newer fenders cause the original have terrible cuts.

My question is if that red parts XJ is an auto and has a front drive shaft still lol 😂. But man Larry’s bumper took a massive hit and still looks good. For sure will be doing that upgrade to the Amazon diy bumper when I finally get around to building mine

They also came in a cherokee wagoneer that thing with 4 head lights that's awful ugly They have 44 front and rear but are rarer than hens teeth as i think they only made like 5k total from 84 to 90 only ever seen one in person they have every factory option top to bottom

They actually have 44 rear 30 front in the wagoneer. There was a factory front 44 option in the xj but it’s extremely rare and I’ve yet to still see one in person. I have 3 or 4 wagoneer xjs rolling around my town and they all have Dana 30s in the front. Also have a personal friend that owns one.

No somebody swapped it in this one before he bought it. Still better than the low pinion axle it originally came with but still a 2 piece tube design that is weaker. He did the delete plate and one piece axle shaft on it as well.
