Ford Super Duty Broken Track Bar Bracket Fix! 99-04 F250/F350

In this episode we install an axle side track bar bracket repair kit from PMF Suspension on a 2000 F350 Super Duty! This kit will work on all 99-04 Super Duty trucks and fixes the problem with the very weak factory axle side bracket. We also install their dual steering stabilizer brackets as the factory stabilizer bracket is removed with this kit.

    I just did a track bar on my 03 king ranch f250 for anyone wondering you really don’t have to take the tie rod loose from the pitman arm I’ve seen many videos and everyone always took the tie rod from the pitman arm off to drop it down to get to the passenger side bolt. No need to get yourself a 6” extension and it puts you outside the tie rod and it makes it a lot easier to remove 2 bolts instead of 3 and risk damaging the boot on the tie rod

    My business partner had this done at a spring shop nearby because we did not want to do it. They did not use a Torque Wrench to tighten the U-Bolts. They used their air impact on full super blast mode.

    @patrickwelch620 Bought this exact bracket (Not many options). Fit up nicely. Worst part is cutting and grinding off the old one, but overall not too bad if you're handy with the grinder and welder. Just a note though, you need to buy a new steering stabalizer because the stock stabalizer mount is part of the lower track bar mount. I went with the BDS dual stabalizer and just fabbed a bracket for that side or the same company that makes this bracket sells one too but it's around $500 and I didn't feel like spending that much. But yeah, it's not a fun job but then again nothing is on these old tanks lol just make sure your bracket is lined up correctly, bolt it up and mark it then clean up anywhere you can possibly get weld on it, then weld the shit out of it and paint it. Then have a good time getting your track bar bolts to 406 lb/lbs in the limited space to swing a big ass torque wrench 🤣 You could use a torque multiplier if you don't have a big enough torque wrench but it's a tight fit in there. I did mine in my garage. A lift would make life a lot easier. All in all it's about a 12 beer job.

    You could weld the original but you better brace it good or it will possibly break again in the near future. I’d personally recommend just shelling out the coin for the PMF mount if you can.
