My Jeep Finally Gets 4.88 Gears! We Also Get A Surprise Visitor At The Shop!

In todays episode we finally regear my Jeep from 3.73 to 4.88. In the middle of the job we get a surprise visit from somebody special to the XJ's history. Then after the regear, we go test the new gears up in the local mountains!

Has your fuel mileage improved any with the gear change? Im running 33" tires with the stock 3:07 gears. Power sucks and getting a little over 10mpg.

I was getting 13 before the gears on 37s and it hasn’t changed much I’m at about 13.2 now

What are the benefits of a OTA track bar? And any recommendations on a certain manufacturer?

Nope I’m saving for a selectable in the rear and it’s like 1,000 bucks
So is first gear low enuff now where you don’t have to run in 4lo? I’m on 3.07 gearing with a 5 speed

Definitely can be in 2 high for most trails now
