    I assumed from the name it was a nod to the Addams Family’s Cousin It. LOVE that opening shot. So serene. That lure looks like a hybrid crawdad/cricket. Maybe it’s a “Crawket”.😂 Those peacock bass are beautiful. Really like that combo you are using here. Rod looks phenomenal. That jumbo Jaguar!🤯🤯🤯 Great results on that lure. Nice redemption after the coconut crab. Excellent outing, Nomad! Super Mega Certified Good👍

    Getting bites… from mosquitoes not fish😂. This lure definitely looks like it was designed for a Ridley Scott movie. So cool looking. I had a similar experience where I bought a really cool looking bumble bee shaped bait and didn’t end up landing much on it. Switched over to a Trout Magnet in the same spot and started picking up fish right away. I think the other lure was just too big and/or strange looking for them. Great review.

    I think its worth it to point out that warmouth (in my opinion) have a bigger mouth then most panfish. You can lip a small warmouth when caught very easily unlike most panfish. I've always wondered if they weren't mixed with smallmouth bass due to their bigger mouth and longer build. I've also only caught them in the same systems where smallmouth lived.

    I picked up a pack to try out recently. Nice sticky hooks. Ive been using a bobby garland itty bitty swim'r and catching gills, bass, and crappie. The itty bittys fall apart easy but they catch fish. I just do a slow straight retrieve, no jigging.

    I returned mine. The mismatched tip was a foreboding. It didn't cast any better than a diawa procyon and was humiliated by the humble diawa laguna. I'm not a diawa guy but was shopping at Academy, and that was their selection of light power rods. The procyon was a super light (weight) rod but had micro guides, and this rod was for flouro line, which made them a handicap. (Edit:) I bought this rod to cast light lures (<¼oz) max distance with light flouro line, and have enough backbone to pressure a 5lb fish. Sensitivity was not on the list of priorities.

    Excellent job on this Z-man series. I think most of us, after trying any one of the products, are interested in the others. You did a great job demonstrating the features of each. I am with you on the ideal panfish lure being under 2”. The smaller stuff just has a better hook up ratio for those small jawed panfish. Great catches!

    Curious if it's just the challenge you're after or truly catching the fish. I was walking creeks and all I thought is how many I'd catch with a simple minnow net. Plan on doing that soon. Saw a darter in a very clean creek off the fox river with a blue band going down from it's eye and some blue bands on the body. Edit: the silence after letting the fish jump was deafening lol.

    I have what is called a "lifelist". It is a list of all the different species of fish I've caught on hook and line during my life. It currently stands at a bit over 400 different species. I enjoy the diversity of everything our planet offers, especially fish. In order to catch as many different species as I can, I have to catch the small ones as well. So yes I do like the challenge of catching the fish, but it's also a bit more than that.

    I have lived in S.FL my whole life and been fishing all the golf courses, banks,canals, lakes, etc...and the last 10 years or so I can find bream or sunfish anywhere ..its really sad. All we see are Myan Ciclids and Green Tilipia . I have an awesome pond behind my house with lost of peacocks, bass, snakeheads,etc., but all the bass are very very thin. I've been on a mission to find bream to reintroduce into my pond but I just cant locate them. I use to catch them by hand when they were young by using rice to bait them close to shore then snatch em up lol. AHHHH the good ol days

  • @TheFishingNomad
    @TheFishingNomad23 күн бұрын

    Unfortunately that's southern Florida these days, and to a certain extent central Florida as well. I don't think introducing the sunfish would do much for your pond. They'd get out competed and preyed upon heavily by all those other species you mentioned. You'd have to eradicate those and then somehow stop them from coming back.

  • @TheFishingNomad

    I don't know if it's better or worse, just different. Usually where I fish I don't have a lot of deep or open water so I just like to keep the lure moving and constantly casting and retrieving. I suppose if I was fishing from a boat or had more space, a float would be better.
