My first stop in Singapore was the main spot I regretted not visiting during my trip here last year, Pulau Ubin. This island just north of mainland Singapore is mainly used as a time capsule of Singapore in the 1960s.
My first stop on the island was a mangrove area towards the west end. After catching mainly Kop's glassfish, humpback cardinalfish, and stripe-nosed halfbeaks, I did my best to try and catch my first ever banded archerfish. Two hours later I was ready to give up, but I put one more attempt into it. Mission accomplished.
