Welcome to “Life as a Liveaboard!” I’m 24 and live on my tiny houseboat, when I'm not traveling around in my converted van! (With my husky, Kenai!) This channel is to show aspiring boaters and van lifers what it’s like to live on a boat and in a van, and why it’s so worth it! Enjoy!

I lived on a 55' Seagoing houseboat for 5 years. It had two 318 Chryslers with Dana stern drives, a 6.5 KW Onan generator, full amenities. I miss it!
I remember using the marina bathroom for 🚿 showers but seen some of the biggest 🕷 spiders 😂😂😮
Awww...girl your beautiful...sorry you got injured😮
What ever happened?
Don’t forget all these too…Cell phone, internet, water, food, car, car insurance, sewer, school loans, credit cards, medical insurance, annual tabs for car, birthdays/holiday gifts, maintenance and repair costs, life insurance, retirement, childcare, pet expenses, extra circular activities for kids, fun money
Wouldn't all those be variables that would differ from person to person?
This KZreadr simply broke down the cost of living on a houseboat. What you mentioned are other daily life expenses that would be there regardless of where you're living, and will vary person to person based on their own requirements.
It must be so cool living on the water in a water home
I want to live in a tiny house boat but it seems impossible and I don't want to pay for a mooring, can you buy a mooring anywhere?
How much is dock fee like how much is overall cost
How much was the overall cost of everything. And is it bad in side during really gusty thunderstorms storms. Please tell. Thankyou great video well executed.
Not saying insurance on a home isn't a good idea, but insurance companies are scam artists. They try to find any reason they can to avoid paying you and will pay you as little as humanly possible.
*con #10 you’re going to need a bigger boat. lol jaws reference your life is pretty cool*
Thanks for sharing your experiences. ❤❤ It is so inspiring to me as you went through the hurricane. I see a lot of strength in you as you protecting your sweet boat and your husky. ❤
How USA make everyone homeless. Insurance and Fees for living.
U go Girl.... One of my Favorite Sayings ( I got off Opera ) is ..... “ People spend their lives yearning to be Free, as the Build their Prisons around them”
You are beautiful 😍
If you get tired of the boat life . Come to Alaska
❤
$704 is still way too much for a tiny boat. I'd rather go build my own dock lol.
Hey! If you’re still at that marina looks like we’re gonna be neighbors! Look for life in a fishbowl! Haha we should be all moved in mid February
I've thought about this. I've really thought hard about this.
Does your dog wear a bandanna?
Hey Marissa, I finally got to watch the movie, Safe Harbor. That was a pretty good movie. So cool you got to live there. Make a new video please.
That Southside Marina looks really nice!
Everyone needs a Bruce, lol.
That's smart! Boat living in MD will be comparable to a house as far as my taxes. I won't be penalized for living on a boat vice a house. I plan on renting my home for cost just so I don't lose my investment but the renter will be responsible for fixing anything they break.
I love it!
I am from NC and it is so beautiful. Good food and good people, I miss it.
I hope you are doing great things and are happy. I am looking to get a houseboat in the DMV, but not DC because that's nuts. Strong communities in the boating life. I wish you the best.
Her costs are not bad at all. My mortgage with VA loan in the DMV in 2014 is $1,119 and HOA is close to $100. I have solar and my car is paid off. Water is so cheap I can pay that several months at a time. Maybe $20 a month? Not to mention $130 for car and house insurance.
Slip but I heard slut
VomitCam!! Learn how to film! Give this a pass folks.
WHERE'D YOU GO!?!?!!?
This is so thorough and awesome, but I'd love to know roughly WHERE you are, since it probably has an impact on how much all this stuff costs...is it Wilmington (tag on the video) because...are there alligators there????
thats cheaper then all your houses and apts and condos that nobody can afford lol
Why no recent videos? I hope all is OK, and you still enjoying your life style
where are you that your slip fees are soo low!
746 a month is a steal when it comes to cost of living. For a lot of people, they're coughing up over 2k a month just for a studio apartment.
I’m sorry but if I was you, I would be sad for what happened to the other people that lost their houseboats but I’ll be really, really happy that I’m ALIVE and well, and that my houseboat still floating and with minor damages compared to the rest. Instead, you aré crying because you have to move? SMH.
Hugs ... You're a survivor
I'm getting ready to live on my yacht .. hope to meet you some day ... cool video..

Move boat to La Paz.
I'm so sorry you had to "beg" for shelter. We experienced the same thing with Hurricane Irma. We stayed because we wouldn't take out kitty. We hunkered down and ended up with the neighbors kitty, they left and didn't take her, and held our neighbors with their dogs. It's difficult funding shelter with pets but you did great in staying with your furbaby.
