Your #1 Destination for real continuous MK1 VW/Volkswagen content on KZread!
Mk1 VW's are my passion and these cars are getting harder and harder to find. In June of 2020, I decided to grab a camera and start documenting all the fun I have with these cars; as I build and play in my garage. No fancy stuff here, just an average joe with general hand tools encouraging EVERYONE to get out in the garage yourself and do this too! Not only do I love all things Volkswagen (especially Mk1 VW's, Golf Rabbit Jetta Caddy Cabriolet Scirocco ) but I built this channel not as a step by step, or how-to channel but a channel aimed at Volkswagen ENTERTAINMENT in general. My hopes are to help support, encourage, and inspire, your builds at home in your garages!
As I continue to grow this channel, PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD AND HELP SUPPORT ME BY SUBSCRIBING TODAY!

i’m a the rear rotor mk2?
Does this set up still fit an AC? I’m in Texas and have to have AC for the intense heat.
What header did you replace? I’m working on a ABA swap into my mk1 GTi and trying to find headers to use on the cheap. I’m told the OBX Aba headers work fine but I’m not sure. The TT headers are awesome but that 500 bucks is the difference between this motor going in next week or next month. Thanks in advance
got a question dude what are you going to do about it being 4x100 on the back and 5x100 on the front is there a conversion you can do?
Hi , I've got this job to do on my mk2 gti pb 8v . I've got the 2.0 agg engine out of a 1999 mk3 golf but I've heard it's going to be 15 to 20mm taller ,( tall block) best easiest engine to swap as there's no wiring to change or different engine mounts , I'm no mechanic but tinker with cars all of the time . I plan to attempt this in the next few months
I want to Weber my aba obd2 how can I deal with timing advance?
I think you're confusing hot rodding with rat rodding. Hot rodding is doing what it takes to squeeze everything out of what you got. Rat rodding is doing it cheaply usually with mix and matching parts to make it faster
Hey I'm from Portugal, I want to change to a vr6 engine in the mk2, but I don't know which supports and front bar to use, or measurements to manufacture. Can you help me? Thank you and excellent projects
My MK5 Jetta has this 2.0 8v motor. engine code is BJZ

Congrats for your VW amazing dedication in special this mk1 , I have one Atlantic 1986 gls 1.8 automatic four doors green color , I wan swap motor and transmission, you think this is possible ? How much could be the cost ? I can bring the car from México..... Or this is better carry with all parts and made work there. For your attention thanks.
Great Video, I have a mk4, it's got the later model apk, looks like the obd1 aba throttle body does bolt straight into the mk4 manifold. Did you have to make any brakets or just a straight fitment? Cheers
ABA engine... 159mm connecting rods , EA113 engine... 144mm connecting rods. Maybe is not a good choice change this engine... Maybe!
Quick question, can I do the same to the rear bumper?
What year model front section did you use on the front panel repair/replacement?
man where are you???
Hey i'm wonderding. Doing the same swap. How did you get the mk2 speedometer to work? Isn't the 2.0 8v gearbox a digital pulse sensor?

Sick ride man! How’s it doing now? Would love to know
Buen día se le pueden adaptar a un golf mk3 1997
Every aba I've had has been stupid reliable.... ac pw steering delete, mk4 intake and exhuast manifold some sort or chip underdrive pulley.... make a fun daily reliable 30+ mpg car... oh yea even better if you get the scientific rabbit ported mk4 intake
Well i dont know about the mk4 but if the timing belt comes to snap, on an early aba, the valves and piston don't come in contact.
I have green EA and it only has rust under the windshield. Must be due to windshield being glued in vs he’d my seal.
one of the best teachers I had always said "if it has threads, bolt or screw head..its supposed to be played with" in regards too the safety wire on the fuel delivery or advance on diesel injection pumps. i wasn't into Vw's at the time but he said he had a lot of IDI tuning tips, i missed out on that but i always appreciate this kind of video, im on my second ABA, a late 98 GL that is getting a cam after learning all this. all praise TTuing, i just installed their short shift kit 👌
Awesome dub
Sick car man!
Head work is where it's at on an aba.
I did an 2.0l aba swap into my mk2 golf a few years back and know some tricks. I got 165hp at the flywheel. All na power.
I've always wonder why people like to drop the engine and not extract from the top? if an engine hoist isn't available sure but everyone always drops it and I found out going from the top is easier to extract and put back in... idk
What are you using fpr fuel pump???
You have a link or info on the fittings? I’m doing the same set up on my caddy and love your set up
What kind of jackstands are you using? If I may ask
