I use an air tank or a pump sprayer on a master cylinder cap with a hole in the cap and a fitting. put 10-15 psi on top of the fluid. Use a 15' clear plastic line on the bleeders. hold the clear line up in your left hand, pump the brakes a few times. move to the next wheel, repeat. You will see the old fluid, air bubbles, then fresh fluid at the bleeder all in the clear line. Dump the clear line after each wheel. No bench bleeding, no wife involved. Quick and easy.

The amount of work you've done to this car is impressive. I don't think there's a system you haven't touched (other than the stereo). With shop rates these days this would have been a monster bill. Stoked to see the next episode. As always...great content. Keep up the great work R.

11's i think is good for a mk2 vr. This chassis combo should weigh in lighter or the same as a Corrado G60. I doubt the owner will run out of brake. Getting there man lets go with the driving video lol!

Personal experience and opinion, don't use poly bushing!! First: too stiff and they will not last long than oem. They are brittle after 2-3 years and it will brake apart!

Great video! This video gives me insight into changing the steering rack and upgrading brakes disc's, I will be doing this to different VW's in the future, a MK1 and Mk2 Scirocco. I'm really looking forward to seeing this Mk2 Jetta VR6 coupe drive on the road in the next video!

You can gravity bleed the brake system, then do the final bleed with someone pushing the pedal. Works wonders

Never heard of bench bleeding a master cyl before. Prob why I end of spending hours bleeding brakes.

I meant to ask if you can point out how you're dealing with the routing for the ECU wiring. It's always "fun" as the MK3's went into a notch in the rain tray and mounted center mass in the car and the MK2 doesn't have that setup.

I have a VR6 swapped mk3 Cabrio with rear drums and I plan to use your disc conversion video to swap mine over and thinking of going to a 307mm rotor with 4 piston wilwoods on the front.

Loving the content mate. What knuckle/hubs did you use for a direct fit for the carriers? I have g60 front calipers for my mk1 build but would need adapters to fit mk1 knuckle. Could I swap my mk1 knuckles for mk2?

Hello, I like your videos, I did my own swap VR6 2.8 to my jetta mk2. Currently I have changed the bases of the shock absorbers twice, how did you solve that situation? Regards!!!!

At 17:09 you can see the vacuum port that has no cap on the brake booster tube. I know that goes to the fresh air vent flapper on mk3, but does it have a use in a MK2?

Can this brake set up be used on mk1? Spindle, calipers and rotors? If so different axles would be needed as well correct??

Sucks about the rack, I've had success snaking a manual rack out the passenger side without touching other components.
