My first time owning an Omega and just making sure that the crown is just pull up and push back down, without the screw down motion of the Rolex? I'm a bit nervous about getting it wet due to the lack of a screw down, is this a legit concern? Also, the watch comes in an alligator strap, so I can't wash it like a Rolex Sub with water & soap (at least without taking the straps off), so what is the best cleaning advice for this moonwatch? Bought it at one of your Radcliffe stores.

That wa s actually a good point to have made.....that the <water tight seal will degrade over time....and we should have the seal checked regularly(though i doubt most will do it annually)...something i think a lof of people overlook. Don't think about. Assume because they paid 470000 for a dive watch the seal would forever stay intact.....not that any one buying a Seamater actually dives anyways :)) LAikely can't even swim in a pool.... I'd consider THIS watch over the other Omegas'....sinc it has <Omega quality< at a price comparable to tag watches....more accessible to more people....(as i commented for another video)...no one sees our watch 99-100 percent of the time we're wearing them. Unles you're one of those guys who perposely waves the watch in the faces of friends...looking for envy on their faces..

I have a very similar Panerai to this. Basically this, without the crown guard, the PAM 625. If I were ever pressed to be a one-watch-guy, the 625 would likely be the one. The 12-hour GMT has really grown on me (versus the more common 24-hour variant). It keeps the watch much cleaner without the 24-hour markings, as well as being somewhat more intuitive. As for this 576... I'm still trying to get my head around the "dressy" aesthetic of the red gold, coupled with the more utilitarian crown guard. It is an interesting juxtaposition. I have several Luminors in the collection, but had never really thought to include one in precious metal. Thinking about it now...
