Hi! I'm a smallholder here in the UK, who is attempting to look after and breed chickens, ducks, turkeys and geese, with maybe more animals to come in the future.
In 2022 we're starting a plant nursery, with fruit bushes and a lavender farm/
Our channel is for anyone who is interested in small holding, keeps poultry, would like to keep poultry, or who just likes looking at what the birds do, and following our journey.
Every day is a school day, and we're still learning. We discover new things, animals get illnesses we haven't seen before, and we had never kept a goose up until 2018...….
I kindly ask that if you like our videos, and would like to learn more about being a UK smallholder, then please subscribe to us. If you have any questions, or would like to make an input, please leave a comment or contact us, we'll always try and answer.

Where is it? What’s it called??
Does incubator need the water ?
As far as I'm concerned "they" have no more authority and can go piss right off. What do you think they can do if nobody registers?
How isit easier to peel eggs of a week old…. When you tell the age of a egg by its wateryness as the younger the egg the more firm 😅 or have I wasted my years in a kitchen 🤓
That’s impossible bro
If you refrigerate the eggs for 24 hrs prior to incubating, you get a higher female ratio, with less roosters to cull. Too many roosters means over-mating which causes loss of feathers/pecking, stress on females and other males. Also, it takes more food to feed more chickens than you need. I do recommend rehoming to people with no chickens/females because they do not fight or pluck and it means less culling. But ultimately, you will have to cull if you hatch eggs or buy chicks from a feed store because sexed chicken pullets is not 100% full proof, some males manage to slip through the process of sexing. I select roosters to keep in my flock based on size, colors/traits, and need for hatching with matching breed of females, and whether they do their job well or not. Greedy roosters who just want to fight and mate but do not try to protect the flock or alert to food opportunities and try to hog the food are not good roosters to keep, IMO.
Morning Annoy Dad. i have a question about planning. was the land equestrian land ? I'm looking at a piece of arable land but want to do the same thing. any help would be much appreciated.
Ceva de neuitat. Am fost și eu în portsmouth de multe ori și sper să mai ajung. Un oraș frumos!!¡!
Hi just wondering how the honesty shop works. I think it a fantastic idea but do you find people just help themselves ?
Ciao avresti il programma per le anatre?
Why are you putting a glass in the incubator when its base holds water? That might be why your eggs aren't developing properly.
I have the same incubator and the humidity pump is broken. What can I do now to have a humidity in the incubator?
thery'e adorable! ☺
Good Day from USA Oregon simple and quick Great
If you get your vinegar to boil before you pour it over the eggs, the eggs will last for many years.
Thanks for the video....
Just picked one up 2nd hand (for £45!) with no instructions so this video was very helpful. Thank you
Hi, thank you for the video! First time using my rcom today and came home to find the incubator had fallen from the egg van. I’ve checked that I’ve attached the incubator to the van guard correctly and can see that it slips off easily. Any suggestions on this? Thanks
My mum hatched an egg which was cracked, crazy!
I am trying to do it right now but the prosess is kind of slow.
I am doing it now
Does a inkavater have a lite
Really helpful video. I appreciate your clear explanations and taking the time to actually demonstrate. We keep around 3 dozen chickens here and excess cockerels are always a problem.

Imagine reincarnation is real and you come back as a chick having to peck your way out of an egg while being filmed for KZread and you can’t talk to the humans because when you do, only peeps come out so you’re stuck to live the rest of this life out as a chicken
I am looking at buying a B275 and I was wondering what all the lever where for, you have explained some of the questions I have to ask, your video is one of the best I have come across
Thank you for your video how many days this eggs inside the incubator until become chicken please reply ❤
Have you thought about renting some of the space for allotments?
I've considered it. But, that would mean alot more people coming up there, and I don't really have anywhere they could park. If I can expand, that is an option 👍
Bought not brought 🤦🏻♂️
bruh you don't put water in the bottom!!!!!!! thats what the pump is for. it drips water on the Felt.!.!
About time for a new video! I love watching them
Thank you. I am making an effort to try and upload more, but it's just not working 😂 However, there will be another video this weekend, as I've been shopping and got something very interesting.........
Dude! Put a little roof over the piano. Drunkin' piano is the best. kek Careful if you take it apart ... wear gloves for sure. Just round off the sharp edges of the "seats", paint them and call it a couch ... done. I wonder if you couldn't use mulch to make some cool walking paths and have the benches along the way and that may take care of the water problem. 12' elderberries sounds perfect. Just build a shelter for all of that stuff with ... that stuff. 🤣 London? eeek TY from Illinois, USA.
Lol, yes I've played drunk piano many times myself. I'm like Mozart when I'm drunk IMHO 😂🤣😂🤣 I might hide it under the pylon, and claim its an art installation 🤔 We do plan on putting in some paths, and trying to hide things behind vegetation, so will be interesting to see what I can do before we get to far into the season. Thanks for watching 😎
Liars. No one believes you
Liar
Not clear, why are a Cockerill, apart from the obvious....isn't an egg and egg?
Great video! Would love to see more like this😊
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing this. Im also trying to get rid of a suspect gapeworm. Please dont listen to the nay sayers. We all have to find what works best for our own flock👍
Congratulations on getting her cranked.
Good luck with it.
Do you guys live on-site as well? Just curious :) that's a shame the dog trashed the place!
No, not on site......yet! But just a few minutes down the road. We have various cameras that keep an eye on things, and let us know when there is movement etc.
Quails take 21 days to hatch
So there’s been no poultry lockdown this year? Great video as usual !
Thanks. No, no poultry lockdown this year. Very few cases of bird flu being reported in captive flocks as well. The main issue seems to be Blue Tongue this year, which is more in sheep and cows.
I knew it, always suspected this to be true and people would say nah!
Awesome I Have always Wondered this Yours is 1st video I've Ever Found When Searching it
