Welcome to Nordland 49, the KZread channel of Oli and Tacia, two Alaskans living in Wasilla. Our small homestead includes chickens, two dogs, a cat, and eventually pigs as we strive towards self-sustainability with our garden. We're also working on a cabin rental on our property, which we're excited to share with you soon. In addition, we frequently visit and work on our off-grid remote cabin in Chase, Alaska.
Oli, originally from Germany, is a bush pilot who flies to many remote destinations around Alaska. We're passionate about sharing what the great outdoors of Alaska has to offer, and hope to encourage others along the way. Join us as we explore and enjoy the Last Frontier!

G'day Oli & Tacia. Thankyou for sharing some more beautiful Alaskan summer's days with your Aussie followers in the middle of our winter, which is still probably warmer than your summer days. It's all relative tho, right ???? Where you don't reach our high summer temps, we don't reach your bitterly cold winter ones. But the beauty of our Creayor is seen in both extremes and everywhere in between. The flight before sunrise was a special treat and the trek up Hatchers Pass where many of our YT channel friends live was a delight. Hi Oli and Tacia- I loved this video, so many beautiful things happening at the homestead. I love chickens and to see all those beautiful and might I add delicious eggs waiting for you is eggciting 🙂. The garden is growing nicely, and garlic is one of my favorites among the broccoli there as well. The camper looks great, and it is cozy inside. So you’re gonna pull that behind the vehicle correct? Will there be something blocking the wind from it while you’re driving?? I don’t know much about building construction . I was just curious Looks really cool.
Hi there , to answer your question, no wind block at this point , we believe it will be strong enough with all the glue and screws at all surfaces , we are still planing on tie downs from roof to frame wich will help A lot . I would have glued (construction adhesive) every joint due to the road vibrations you’ll encounter.

Hi there ! Yeah it seems big , but it’s actually smaller now than it was , when it was fully extended. We are so exited to see it finished too Still a long way to go 😊, but one step at the time ! This is peak season right now and with all the daylight we have , the plants are growing like crazy 😂😂, we mow the lawn and 24 hours later it’s tall again lol Thank you for watching the video and leaving great comments Have a wonderful week Oli and Tacia

I really enjoy your videos, I've had a cabin in upstate New York for10 years now. We've always just called it the cabin. After seeing the name of your channel it just made sense to name our property and cabin Hinterland which you know means upstate. Thanks for reminding me of my heritage.

Looks great! I've been waiting for this video. When you said that you're cutting the roof, I was hoping it was for a woodstove or a hot tent stove. I love watching winter camping videos. Of course, you'd need to add a little insulation. But not much. It wouldn't take much to heat that little camper. Anyway, looking forward to the next update. Thanks.
