People think Im nuts but I like the dark winter, I can sleep when its dark and cold, plus its incredibly beautiful, lots of outdoor activities and no bugs!

This Cookbook Stand is a wonderful invention . I am so proud of you thinking outside the box and creating it. Who wouldnt be blessed to receive one of them. Your bacon and egg cake / pie looks very mouth watering!!! Id sure enjoy sitting down to a meal with you 2. So much happening in yet another homesteading-in -Alaska video. Cuckoo clock keeping it all in good time. Firewood-mix great tip to help new folks to this way of life , to help extend their wood for a season. Stacking semi green/dried wood indoors esp near the fire warmth will def give you burnable wood sooner rather than later.

Live in a beautiful state it’s gorgeous. Call me crazy but I love the winter. I always count down until I wear winter clothes. I love wearing winter clothes I especially the ski stuff. I’m crazy right to love winter.

Yes , actually seen them a lot early this winter at the homestead, and we do have a video ( Copper basin sled dog race ) wich has a few lights in it , it was awesome

Hi Oli and Tacia- Happy Monday and what a beautiful intro into your video. I love all the snowy trees and landscape. If you don't mind my asking how much wood it takes to heat your home for the whole winter and do you have alternate heating as well like a Toyo stove? I love wood stoves but do understand they have to be maintained well to provide great heat. Does the wood stove in your workshop keep it pretty warm. I was hungry while watching this so that onion bread looked quite delicious, Tacia. Okay too excited now I have to ask are you and Oli going to be selling those beautiful cookbook stands. If so, is there a website or are you only selling going to be selling local at craft fairs or small businesses? I love wood pieces and they look so nice and of course I would like to have something nice from Alaska. well, so sorry for all the words but as always thank you for sharing another video. Please stay warm!

Hi Christine !! thank you as usual for tuning in and always happy to read your comments . The wood stove in the shop does a great job and heats up the space very well, makes it nice now to spend time in there and work in the warm 😃, We do have forced air as a back up and keep it at a setting to when we leave for a few days our plants don't suffer . other then that its always wood .This winter we are running slim on wood but I started using birch from last fall so we are ok , wood shed and the wall space behind the shop need to be full tp last through a winter . Better get busy for next winter 😂 We will be selling home made crafts soon but still need to get set up. Have a great weekend and see you soon Oli and Tacia
