Hello , do you have a store you sell the matts at ? Or the moulds ? If so I'm curious what you would recommend . I run a gravity dredge and the box surges alot . When I run the dredge riffles the deeper heavier material starts building up. I think you're mat may help keep things moving as i get deeper . thanks for any help. And best of Luck.
@alanrobertson25107 күн бұрын
Yes the molds for making the mats are available at printingprospectos.com I checked out your gravity dredge [I like it] I think The silicone mats would work great for your dredge with the water surge. The gold will sink to the bottom of the silicone mats there for protecting the gold from being washed out with the water surge. As the water and material flow over the mats the silicone moves and drops the gold to the bottom. I would use a section or to of the nugget trap at the top of the sluice and then Grizzly bar mats going alternating directions down the rest of the sluice. I hope you get some nice gold out of that hole. The updated grizzly mat are different than in this video.

@alanrobertson25109 күн бұрын
the material PLA will warp if left in a hot car or the sun for to long. The only thing I print with PLA is the molds for the mats. Everything else I print is PETG and will not warp in the heat.

Great video but people keep saying micro fine gold and any miller table, blue bowl, will not capture the micro gold. Micro gold is microscopic gold if you see it on the table then it is not microscopic gold if you get lucky maybe with a 10X jewelers loupe. Generally micro gold can be extracted from black sands by chemicals like Aqua Regia because any attempt to use mechanical separation the micro gold will be lost. Alan the gold that you recover is great but it's just small gold, tiny gold, flour gold but not microscopic gold. Any one can recover small gold, tiny gold, flour gold but micro is the real challenge and there are tons of it all over sources of water, the problem is do you want to spend the time and the money to go from a solid to a liquid then back to gold Au

Try changing the printer filament to Tpu instead of Pla the plastic shore hardnesss of Tpu is slightly less flexible than silicone and slightly less less stiff than Rubber its kinda like the happy medium it still retains the stickiness of silicone.
Funny you should mention TPU I have been thinking of trying it out. I probably need to go with a direct drive extruder. Thanks for the comment.
