Hi Alan, glad to hear you are on the mend! In my humble opinion, most people in the mineral field fail to understand the correct operation of a fluid bed. I've looked at a lot of videos on the subject of capturing gold and have not seen a correctly constructed fluid bed. A fluid bed needs to be tall with non-turbulent flows. The correct operation of a fluid bed is to pass a non-turbulent flow of fluid up through a deep bed of material in a container (or column) that is about twice as tall as the material. Ideally the diameter of the container should be significantly smaller than it is tall. The upward velocity of the fluid must only be fast enough to barely lift the lighter species to the top of the bed but not so fast as to prevent the heavier species from dropping to the bottom of the bed. The flow velocity is critical and must not be turbulent, so the material can be separated based on differential specific gravities. I suspect this is incredibly hard to do in conjunction with a fast flowing sluice. I commend your efforts to explore new and creative ways to capture more gold, especially the fine gold. Keep up the good work and great videos!

Hi there Alan, on your High Banker thingy, replace the the "T" fitting with a long Spray Bar with smaller holes for higher pressure cleaner. I will be back to making more Deposits most likely next month. Tale care and may God continue to bless your entire family and animals!

I think one valve on the center water feed would restrict the water well enough to even out the distribution and then make cones instead of small circles so the heavies will sit in the cones as well as mess with the hole sizes to get it to do what you want as far as the rock washer goes I think it just needs the water feed at the back of the scoop so it washes the material down and out instead of having to move it back and forth great ideas on both pieces you’ve got so far just needs a little tweaking thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏻👊🏻

Good to hear You're getting/feeling better, might try smaller holes, & bigger to regulate the pressure... Maybe small 1st two, then a little bigger last two for center run, and larger for sides.. or valves ( or 1/2" center pipe & 3/4" sides ? ) or drilling holes away from centers ? .... I hope this adds to Your creativity and not to headaches... Lol Stay Safe and God Bless

On your banker screen use a polypropylene longitudinal grizzly to keep it slick and not plug the screen. Mesh and perforated all plug. Grizzlies of slick plastic are perfect. My first one I cut strips and drilled them putting spacers and closed it up with a zip tie through it. I even zip tied the top to the cut out square aluminum pan I used. 9x13 baking pan. Keep the end you cut off for spray bar mount splash. The plastic I found is the one they make milk jugs now. I used cuts of a thin cutting board

Hi Alan! Glad you are feeling better! I've watched I think all your sapphire mining videos.. Could you maybe print a big flywheel to pulse the bed like an old school steam locomotives wheels to mimic the machine they have at the mine? Use another windshield washer motor and a big gear ratio to make it pulse? Just a thought. For the 2nd idea, there was this awesome invention called a bucket blaster that came out years ago... tee hee. I'm never letting that one go. Other than the bucket Trommel I think it had potential to do what you are thinking. You could even print a box shaped one with a claw you could raise (like gold hogs clay claw) that would hold the big chunks to break the clay balls up

Hi Allen, a tap in the centre inlet pipe, 12 volt dc pwm speed controller with percentage led display. Maybe a head plate. To push water up through holes, hitting top plate with a vortex, you need maybe feed in slots. It's an idea. Russell

How about a printed bazooka fluid bed with easy clean out, you could have printed riffles, printed grizzly screen with tapered hole, inlet ports for fluidizes . Fits in bucket for clean out. Maybe tie into your highbanker with a long Sluice section. Maybe yourscoop grizzly incorporated. Too much caffeine. J-Bear. Trick is water management.

Your 4-Piece connector there in my opinion is little too much pressure for the center chamber because it's coming straight from your main line straight into it and whatever's accessed is going to the side try just removing the center one and using just the two sides that might help it might work better

You need to be able to valve tune each well also. Easy way would be make the base screen a threaded insert you can ground out on the bottom plenum to reduce or increase flow

Did you try screens on the bottom of the fluid bed to stop the plugging? And move the inlet so it doesn't line up with the center pipe since water will take the path of least resistance. Have a great day.

I like this idea, try having the spin of each vortex next to it spin the opposite direction to reinforce eachother. Like wheels rolling on eachother. This will create a low pressure area in center of each vortex for settling

Like this idea also having the pay material pushed around and low energy areas to let gold collect. One of the really big problem is piping where the areas where water is moving act like a pipe attracting more flow while dead ares become cemented. Almost wonder about lots of very high pressure holes in the bottom and have a column tall enough and maybe widening so the bottom is turbulent and the lights pushed above where energy lessens can flow off while gold stays down?
