25,000 people? A lot of out of towners would’ve had to attend - there’s approximately 2800-3000 hikers on the trail at the moment.

What are the venomous snakes over there? Do they have rattlers?
@kenlodge3399Ай бұрын
Not a criticism, but a suggestion. Your singing aside - your getting over a cold and a walk in the woods is the best medicine for that, besides resting and V-C. Either your guitar is out of tune or you're not pressing the strings nearer the middle of the frets - TC & GB

Hey David, it’s been a lot of fun watching your journey. I have a random geology question, I wonder if I could ask it here… how does blueschist return to the surface in subduction zones?
@DavidadventuresАй бұрын
This can happen through rapid faulting. Of course, faulting is common in subduction zones. Blue schist can also flow in the upper parts of the subducted crust or accretionary wedges. It can also happen through buoyancy, because of the differences in specific gravity, if the rocks are associated with low-density continental crust.

Was that Cottonmouth?!!
@DavidadventuresАй бұрын
It didn't have a triangular shaped head, or vertical slit eyes so it wasn't a pit viper such as a cottonmouth. Although, I've never seen one. This snake was non-venomous, but I'm not sure what it was. It did try to bite my trekking pole.

Cindy quit on March 17. Gadget Girl is a lady from West Virginia who is hiking the AT. Recently, we also joined up with another lady, Bunny. We have one common purpose, to hike the AT and use the car to facilitate it. I see them when we drop off, pass in the middle or at pick up time.
