In order to take advantage of the topography, er, that is to hike downhill, I did this section in two parts. Ahh, the joys of slackpacking! First, I hiked the valley section, North from the Settlers Museum and secondly, north from Glade Road back to the Settlers Museum. It was fun to hike through the valley, picking up a soft drink at the gas station to hike with. Returning to the trail at Glade Road was a challenge with a very rocky footway.
