Starting at Rt 42, I hiked south to Davis Road, over 12 miles. I passed through beautiful meadows, hiked through a storm, saw a snake, hike over a mountain and climbed a bunch of stiles.

Take me 5 years because i would have to stop for every flower, fern and waterway to take pix! Beautiful area!

It didn't have a triangular shaped head, or vertical slit eyes so it wasn't a pit viper such as a cottonmouth. Although, I've never seen one. This snake was non-venomous, but I'm not sure what it was. It did try to bite my trekking pole.
