LOL. I knew she was going to say that the aliens were cute! I love your channel!! I just subscribed!! Please do "Late Night with the Devil"!!!!
A bit ironic that "plan B" involves generating lives. I appreciate your lengthy afterthoughts, hope it wasn't too hot out there. The visuals, the escalations are very impressive. The whole "love transcends time and space.." I get it, but it's just too schmaltzy for my taste, everything else is great. Thanks again, Mike, be well. Oh yeah, congrats on 6k subs, awesome.
Yeah, I bet many peeps weren't too fond of the "love transcending" aspect and it can definitely go either way. But hey, thanks for watching and I appreciate your thoughts. (:
I love your reaction best on you tube!
Aw, thanks, Edward, that made our day!! (:
I call him his Dudeness!😂
Love it! LOL. ((:
Oooof 48hrs...God bless
Great reaction, guys. To echo many of the comments, seems like you really got this movie, a lot to take in on first watch. I can't believe this is 10 years old, time huh, just like in the movie, haha. On the back of this, you HAVE to watch 2001: A Space Odyssey. There are quite a few nods in this movie to it. It's my No. 1 film of all time. Thanks. Much respect for enduring editing for this.
Just starting this reaction can't wait. Love you guys. One of my favorite movies.
It has a similar mind-bending script as Inception, not surprisingly also done by Nolan, both with equally mind-blowing visuals. The stuff of legends, bar none.
I love good scifi. The story should move your mind into realms you have not previously considered. Maybe the old IQ even elevates a bit. This was good sci fi.
I still have this movie on DVD! 😂😂
"No, it's necessary"
if you guys are living in the US. This will be re-released in iMAX in September. If you want to experience it the way it was meant to.
Naturally the I N T E R S T E L L A R Afterthoughts by Mike is gonna be a long one, lol all the better! (Oh the term for when scientific tech talk that applies itself to carry the film's plot points is called "Techno-babble" so a very close term you used, but also that Interstellar gets something of an exception to that as so so much of its science is so reality based more than others which rely on more fiction) Liked your rating of Romilly as an absolute trooper for sticking it out all that time, and naturally everyone hates Dr.Mann, I mean when the only few humans who have gone further than ever in history and yet its still down to two of them trying to the death of fighting one another is just damned embarrassing! Go figure right? Condemning of the species really, makes us look like a hopeless case! A lost cause! But also that the Endurance crew esp Romilly symbolizes the better nature of humankind, vs the selfish, bad, worst nature in Mann (hence the name) Yeah Coop's viewing in the Tesseract is much like an analogy of a life lived apart, missed out like in the real world for some of us, but played back in a way so swift, direct, you're seeing it all at once like a montage of your most cherished memories of family home movies so it hits really hard and especially because that its only been 2 years for Coop, and his screaming desperation of raging against the dying of the light like the poem, is such a deep, tangible universal feeling we all feel, yet depicting that in a way that strikes that exact note so strongly is mainly thanks to Matthew McConaughey's performance, I was absolutely amazed by that, and still am to this day, its the sound of how a man utterly cornered by his circumstances, near death and or the preservation of his family, loved ones, of how that really feels! Thanks Mike & Jess for all you do!
Hi Adam, lol, "techno-babble"... Good to know, thanks! Yes, Mann vs. Romilly! Agree with you regarding McConaughey's performance and the tangible universal feeling, etc. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. ((:
Best Interstellar reaction on the Internet ❤
Aw, thank you so much, that makes our day! (:
this will always and forever be my favourite movie. I have watched it so many times. I love seeing the main character, a woman, passionate about something so much, believing in something so much, fighting for herself... I feel powerful watching it.
Yes, it has become one of my all-time favorite movies as well! (:
I have seen every Interstellar reaction on KZread. You're in the top 3. Keep up the good work and please don't forget, over this journey of yours, to just maintain your own natural reaction. Don't dramatize it. Don't exaggerate for views/clicks/subs. Subscribed.
Thank you so much! And yes, dramatizing and overacting is definitely not something we'll ever do. It's just us for the better or worse. Thanks for subscribing!! (:
Watched a few movies on your channel, enjoyed it. Subscribed. 😊
Hey, hey, BOSS-Ekko, thanks so much for watching and subscribing!! (:
Excellent summary 👏 However i missed one important elaboration from you and this is ‘who built the wormhole and the tesseract, ref. the final ‘higher dimension’ discussion between Cooper and Tars’.
Yeah, that would've been worth a few thoughts as well. Thanks. I can even think of more details that would deserve some thought, but I talked about whatever came to my mind, but point well taken. Thanks for watching! (:
@@BossMovieReactions Sure, but what is your take on this? It is not clear to me in the movie - was it the Plan B frozen embryos some million years later? It was humans for sure…..
@@DistinctiveMusic Well, they definitely talked about an advanced human civilization or fifth-dimensional future humans who invented the tesseract, etc. So, you're correct about that it was humans. Now, from "where" they exactly came from is not 100% clear to me, but as far as I understand it, there was no need to implement Plan B and no need to build a new society from the frozen embryos since they solved the gravity equation and can now travel to the third planet, which turned out to be habitable. But who knows, maybe they implemented Plan B as well. Those would be my first thoughts on that subject. (:
@@BossMovieReactions Yes in a way, because there are previous timelines where its only Brand, and her colony, a much darker, more difficult one, where the wormhole is still created thanks for her efforts and success, the bulk beings wipe those previous timelines out and start over, but its ok for them, and the movie itself is about a timeline using a father's love of his daughter who is also the most qualified, only remaining pilot still willing to strike out into space, to save people remaining on Earth who presumably die each time in the other timelines, so they are starting the same results of their own reaching of the 5th dimension, because it doesnt really matter how or when you do it now, just that you do it, so you can make tweaks, adjustments to make it better, but making it better each time right up to where even Earth's people live, a sooner into space, easier life for humanity, rather than the dark, difficult futures and death they faced in other timelines before Coops story in the movie takes place.
@@adamscott7354 🤔🤔🤔😀👍👍
Too bad Brand was unable to convince Cooper and Romilly to go to Edmunds planet. Her love connection speach is almost the same Cooper used to explain his connection to his daughter. 🙂
Yes, and the movie would have been much shorter as well, and therefore less editing! LOL. Hey, I'm so happy to see that #6 badge next to your name. Thanks, U rock!! (:
Hello Mike!😊 I'm late for this one. Saturday is my sleep in day.😉 This is definitely an emotionally draining film. I forgot that Edmonds had died on the planet the Brandt ended going to. Otherwise Cooper going there would have been complicated. You probably already have recommendations for "The Martian" (2015). I bring it up as Matt Damon Stars in it and Jessica Chastain is a co-star. It is a very upbeat, well made, and well cast space film. So, you might be in the mood for it some time. You and Jessica did a great job reacting to this one that pulls at your heart strings!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏 Have a great weekend, fellow Mike!😊
Hi Michael, yes, good point about Cooper going there without knowing that Edmonds has died. Yep, Martian is on our list. Thanks for your kind words, always! ((:
This film poses a profound moral question: What would you do to save the lives of others - perhaps even the entire Human race? Would you sacrifice your own life? Would you leave your family, probably to never see them again? Would you choose to stay with your family and disregard the demise of Humanity? Deep thoughts!
Yes, I do have those thoughts as well, and if we're not guided by our emotions the answers come easier. (:
This is a great reaction. You guys are great! - cheers from England 🏴
Thank you so much and cheers from California!! (:
I enjoyed your reaction to one of my favourite movies. Subscribed!
Thank you so much, Phil, we're getting close to 6,000 !!! (:
Rumor has it there is a sequel coming!!
Yeah, someone just mentioned that! (:
That's all it is: rumors and gossip. Wishful thinking on the part of fans. There will be a theater re-release of "Interstellar" this fall, celebrating the film's 10th Anniversary. I do not know how many theaters will be showing the film.
@@Stogie2112 Yeah, I just did some research and came up with the same conclusion. Not saying I'm right, just saying what I've found! (:
@@BossMovieReactions ... I hope you get to see it in the theater this fall! 😀
@@Stogie2112 👍
Hello from Denmark! :) I really enjoy getting myself some beers and perhaps light up a joint - then watch your videos that you upload! :) It's the perfect evening to me in my life atm. THANK YOU :) ----- OH, and the editing that you do for these videos are just superb! I personally think that they are way better done compared to reaction channels that has 300k+ subs.
Fantastic! We're happy to be a small part of your life! Greetings to Denmark! (:
Even though they consulted a physicist for this movie, the science is total crap. It was criticized and made fun of by many scientists. Other than that, it's a fun movie to watch. I was hyped and amazed when I first saw it, but now I'm not going to call it one of the top 100 movies ever made. Good reaction, keep it up.
Hi there, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I read that the science was very accurate, but maybe that wasn't quite true, who knows? Nevertheless, thanks for watching and commenting! (:
Perhaps the makers of the film should have consulted with you instead. 😉😉
@@Stogie2112 Sorry I hurt your feelings
@@Not-Impressed..1821 ... You didn't hurt my feelings at all. Why did you assume that?
If I'm not mistaken there's even a KZread video of Lawrence Crauss (one of the leading cosmologists and physicists) dissing the movie, calling it one of the worst movies ever made. And he wasn't the only one. But as I said it's just a movie to hype people up. If you were entertained I'm happy for you. I didn't say it was a bad movie. I just said I'm not impressed.
Love this movie! Thanks for all the editing you did for this. Such a great movie, and such a long one too to edit. Thank you!
Thanks, Lucas. Yeah, this was the longest movie to edit so far. Pretty much took a week to create the video and everything else around it. Happy to hear that you enjoyed it! (:
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
23 thanks!! (:
If you want to see another sci-fi movie with soul then I recommend you watch "Gravity" with Sandra Bullock. It's a very emotionally powerful film if you have a keen eye for metaphor.
That one is on our list. Thanks! (:
The reason Dr. Edmunds did not survive was because of time dilation. Let’s argue that he arrived to his habitable planet aged 30. Ten years later Brand and Cooper pass through the wormhole and start exploring the three promising planets. By then Dr. Edmunds would be 40 years old. But then after the tsunami planet’s fiasco 23 more years passed. Dr. Edmunds is now 63 years old. Finally during the slingshot orbit around gargantuan 50+ years passed and Dr. Edmunds would have been 113+ years old. Granted he could have slept most of that time to await rescue but most likely he didn’t because the planet was habitable and it made less sense to sleep his life away there. In any case he probably spent a lot of his time setting up the beginnings of that colony that Brand was able to take advantage of at the end. I’m sure she added to the structures already there but there is no way she could have built all of that in the time she had spent on the planet so far. But going back to the point, by the time she arrived to Dr. Edmunds’ planet, it is likely he had died of old age years before.
Very good points. Thanks! (:
It's somehow soothing to see people watch this masterpiece for the first time. Especially when You guys focus, follow and listen to the story because every scene is important. Best Nolan movie.. I was completely floored and thought about it for weeks.
Thanks for that. Yes, it was quite challenging following the story to its detail, but it was an amazing experience and it made me think about it for a long time as well. Fantastic movie! (:
@@BossMovieReactions this fall due to 10th anniversary they will release Interstellar into theaters again. In IMAX.
@@volcghost Thanks for letting me know! (:
just got home and ready for a movie..Interstellar the best..Lovely people..
Enjoy, Linda!! (:
Wonderful reaction, I got emotional
Thanks for watching and be part of it! (:
You guys listened and watched carefully and understood a lot of the story judging by your comments. Great reaction. Nice to see a reaction where ''important'' scences are not ruined by rambling. There will be a sequel. A trailer released not long ago.
Thanks for that! A sequel, really? I'll be looking out for that! Thanks! (:
Some incredible movies that are not horror MOVIES… THESE ARE MOSTLY ACTION/ DRAMA SAFE HOUSE UNSTOPPABLE SPY GAME COWBOYS AND ALIENS THE ACCOUNTANT LEGENDS OF THE FALL DANCING WITH WOLVES
Thank you, I added them! (:
Interstellar is like a religious experience where mankind takes the role of the mysterous creator.
Yeah, I hear you, it was quite a ride! (:
This film angers me. I love the Earth famine and the score but the script really pisses me off and the forced emotion. This is where Nolan really drops off for me. The bookshelf crap and the love conquers all or whatever Hathaway was talking about? Matthew went into Space , docked a ship for the first time, fought Space Jason Bourne , went into a Black Hole and managed to talk to his daughter through morse code from the fifth Dimension but ....Murph is the hero? HEH?
Well, what can I say, it's a movie. But we appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Have a great weekend! (:
But aside from all of that, you really liked it? 😉
@@Stogie2112 good movie, well done
My favorite movie of all time! I can't wait to see your reactions! YAY!
I think you're going to like it! Enjoy! (:
I play the piano and hammond organ. I played the organ in church 25 years ago, but they didn't fancy "modern" scores like now with youtube, that a lot of organ players share their performances. The organ is a larger than life instrument, and i am so grateful Hans Zimmer included her. Organs cost a fortune to be maintained. And the more people seeing her contribution to our "musical" world, the longer she will be with us. The movie is great. But the score makes half of the movie, in my opinion.
Yes, the score is amazing indeed! Thanks for watching! (:
Great movie, great reaction. Masterful is a perfect word for this one.
Yes, thanks for watching! (:
Another amazing reaction! Absolutely cannot wait for you two to watch Django Unchained!! (I know its on the list, just saying 😄) have a lovely summer you two!!
Thank you so much, SpicyTurk!! We appreciate it! (:
From Professor Brand's point of view, his "Horrible Lie" was necessary. It was the most Human thing he could have done. Save the Human race at all costs, even if it meant sacrificing a few billion people. Sending out a colony to perpetuate the human race was the only solution. Little did Professor Brand know that the "long shot" would be a VERY long shot that succeeded: Joe Cooper going into a black hole and discovering the Tesseract!
Yes, I agree, I understand why Professor Brand did what he did! Long shot indeed! (:
"Anyway, we delivered the Bomb." Best line of the film.
Yeah, I'm happy I learned more about it... (:
Hey guy’s, I’m Clint a actor from the UK. Im your biggest British fan. 😉 You are an amazing couple I watch every reaction your have posted and you are now my favourite reaction channel.. Thanks guy’s

Hell yeah this film is a masterpiece was excited when this popped up in my feed!
Yep, a masterpiece indeed! Happy you came across it! (:
You are such a lovely couple and I enjoy your reactions very much. What I also appreciate particularly is the sound balance in your video editing, you talking versus the volume of the movies is perfect. That's where a lot of other channels go wrong, even if they have the best camera's and studios and such. Well done you two, and keep it up 😘
Thank you for your reaction!
You got it! (:
You grabbed that plot amazingly well. I had to watch it a few times to fully understand what was happening.
It was a real challenge to keep up and I learned so much more during editing... Thanks for watching! (:
“Man was born on Earth, nothing obliges him to die there.” However, be careful when talking on your cell phone in the street.
