I think the bridge and tail piece on these guitars are some of the best out there.
HDRX for the clean sound, that’s not usual, a lot of people always think you can’t get a good clean tone with a Marshall-y amp, and yet they forgot that the first Marshall were based on the Fender Bassman. I really like this guitar, I will definitely save money to get myself a Maple Orange model. Thanks for the video :)
Thank you for the excellent review. Funny the Fender people come a runnin' to troll, but don't notice the 3 humbuckers & no 60 cycle buzz.
"Rebirth" ??? You mean another 'copy' of a Stratocaster.
Poor String Tree Hugger. Your Stratocaster have 3 Humbuckers, no string trees? You have 2 knobs or 3?
It’s indeed a “Rebirth” since the NF3 already existed as a US Core model… but of course, you don’t know shit about it, you’re just butthurt by a better guitar that don’t have your favorite brand name on the headstock… go cry me a river!
Rebirth of a previous PRS model from 2010, yes.
You did a great demo of the sound. Every other demo on KZread has way too much processing and effects in the signal chain.
Is the satin still normal nitro finish just not polished to a high sheen
The satin series is the same thickness of finish film as gloss, but the solids content is lower. It will polish up to a sheen if you rub on it, but it won't be that deep wet look.
Really interesting video ! Thank you for sharing ! Best regards from Scotland.
Umm.... nice guitar.
I bought that same guitar about a month ago. Mine was perfect as delivered except it had a DGT truss rod cover instead of McCarty 594 cover. I contacted the retailer and they sent me the correct McCarty 594 cover. The neck angle, string height, cut of the nut, intonation and pickup height were all very good. The neck was near straight with just the slightest relief and the action was a smidge under 1.5 mm at the 12th fret which is pretty low. It is very playable and sounds great. Not sure how it ended up with DGT truss rod cover instead of McCarty 594 cover. Maybe they put it on at the factory or at PRS or at the retailer. Someone likely did a setup before delivery and accidentally swapped it out with the DGT cover.
shes a beauty .
Big selling point for me over the 5 is the bigger transformer
Good video
if its so good right out of the box then why did you change the relief on the neck
Gloss please on the D's
Great shirt!👍
Love these videos! Im looking at a PRS 277
This video is what swayed me to buy the standard you see in my profile pic. Thank you so much… sounds amazing!
Very informative. Beautiful instrument. Gonna save up cash to get one.
I had a limited edition PRS McCarty Brazilian a couple decades back. I sold it. I wish I hadn't done that.
Case Candy bro..
I just purchased one of these..I cant figure out where to plug the power cable into? Does anyone know where the plug actually is plugged into?
What type of tuners are those on the Private Stock?
Phase III Locking
Right but I mean what material?
Sounds great looks not sure 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
That dark spot under the low E string adj the neck pup would drive me crazy.
These are perfect. Wen will you get more of the OM’s?
If I wanted a video on tuning, this is the one. Oh, it has a switch, knobs, pickups, and output jack; I wonder what they’re for and what they sound like? Never mind, just like you said, I could walk onstage with it and wear a pretty guitar; that’s all that matters.
Am I the only one that thinks the fire red to grey black finish looks ugly? I love the blue one however i would be honored to even just hold it.
Hello Jack ! If I may add 1 thing. When I purchased my PRS from your store The Northeast Music Center, it was delivered dead of summer on a 95 degree day. Much to my surprise that guitar was spot on in tune ! Anyway, PEACE from Philadelphia
Just curious why you said they don’t need set up? All guitars need set up. And I can see the one your messing w is awful high from where I sit. I mean this video would be fine for someone who didn’t know anything about guitars.
PRS Sets up all of the guitars prior to shipping them to dealer stores. We attempted to show that to you in this video. They are one of a few manufacturers that take the time to get them "right" before sending them out. As far as the action being high, the guitar had perfect action out of the box. We measure each guitar with precision tools for accuracy and tuning stability. Now that being said, each and every guitar MAY need to be slightly adjusted to a certain players ability and touch, but the point of the video was to show that these guitars do not require a full and complete set up like much of the competition.
@@northeastmusiccenterinc thanks, I'm curious just how low can you go w the 594 action. I own a Gibson LP but I'm seriously wanting a 594
@@bobdorothy9719 My 594 SE double cut's action was a little high for my liking, but it was definitely playable. Just over 2mm at the 12th fret bass side. I had no problem bringing it down to 1.5mm on the bass side and 1.25 on the treble side. I didn't touch the truss rod, as it came with 0.2mm of neck relief at the 7th fret with no buzzing anywhere.
@@1sainteve1 that's sweet. That what I wanted to hear. Hopefully once I get some stuff paid down I'll be playing one. What color did you get. How's the finish?
@@bobdorothy9719 I was hoping for vintage sunburst, but they only had blue. Poly finishes feel more 'plasicky' than nitro, but no flaws anywhere. The tuners are just OK. They hold their tune, but feel a bit rough. I've ordered a set of vintage style Gotohs. The neck is big, which is what I wanted for my arthritis. It's about the same size as either a Gibson 59 or their 'rounded' profile. Definitely not a 'slim taper'.
I have the double cut desert finish version, it's an impressive playing and looking guitar. Sounds great!
Great review Sir. Subbed
Funny that imported PRS's have better binding work than American gibsons.
Cause its done on a machine not by hand
@@chriswebb383 I dont care how Gibson does their, its done poorly. Very
Mine is far from poor. Perfectly sharp lines
@@chriswebb383 Most gibson's binding can be felt, way too much for an American guitar.. I sold 3 this year with poor binding work.
Cause they dont have thick urethane paint covering it up
Both my core 594's are both heavy.. around 9.5-10lbs
I've been looking at this one with that finish. Beautiful instrument. Appreciate the video, be well ✌🏼
New martins and a ton of PRS promo banners in the background, not exactly the best way to market the products highlighted in the video (i was going to be sarcastic and ask if you stocked PRS)
Satin finish wears quicker than gloss.
Amazing craftsmanship! PRS look and sound incredible
Oops the cases are standard too?
Was lucky enough to buy a Shawn Mendes Martin guitar, it's absolutely amazing, a guitar for life.
Those sound amazing!!!
There is no danger that your personality getting in the way of the content 🤡 good job though 😎
❤❤
One of the smartest ideas ever. Nice job guys!!
Aren’t those Flame Maple not Curly Maple???
The easy answer to this is yes and no. The nomenclature for this wood usually is; Flame maple when the wood is Quartersawn and Curly maple when the wood is flatsawn. It all starts out as a maple tree that has "Curl" in it. That is a great question Jim and Dee. :)
Really great to have the four models lined up like that for comparison. Same re playing them in that order. Good work.
Beautiful burst that bit of iced tea going on there ,stuck between this and dgt goldtop great video Steve Manchester UK ✌️
We love these videos. PRS guitars are beautiful and you guys showing them off is fantastic.
The kind of guy you want to buy a guitar from!
Great explanation!! Finally I got the reason of "misaligned" flames! I found nobody that showed it on the web! Thanks! Greatings from Italy!
The playing and audio do the instruments no justice. Getva good flat picker for the dread, and a good fingerstylist for the ooo om ,and oo. Less talk more playing ,good microphones and audio is what will sell these instruments. Do yourself a favor and look at the ceder rock guitar demos, the best ever.
