Aren’t those Flame Maple not Curly Maple???

The easy answer to this is yes and no. The nomenclature for this wood usually is; Flame maple when the wood is Quartersawn and Curly maple when the wood is flatsawn. It all starts out as a maple tree that has "Curl" in it. That is a great question Jim and Dee. :)
Am I the only one that thinks the fire red to grey black finish looks ugly? I love the blue one however i would be honored to even just hold it.
