Really interesting video ! Thank you for sharing ! Best regards from Scotland.
Jack is super nice guy who really knows his stuff. He's a big carrier of PRS and always has a impressive stock of PRS guitars at the shop. I met him at the Oaks Guitar Expo a few years ago and he was just so cool and informative.

@@northeastmusiccenterinc You're welcome. Thank you for what you do for us musicians.
Keep on doing unboxing videos. They're great.
I've been looking at this one with that finish. Beautiful instrument. Appreciate the video, be well ✌🏼
This video is what swayed me to buy the standard you see in my profile pic. Thank you so much… sounds amazing!
I think the bridge and tail piece on these guitars are some of the best out there.
Jacks the man, guy is a brick in the foundation of the PRS community. Amazing demo guys!

Love these videos! Im looking at a PRS 277
I have the double cut desert finish version, it's an impressive playing and looking guitar. Sounds great!
An amazing instrument. I really want a PRS - not sure which one yet, but I'll have one eventually.
Hello Jack ! If I may add 1 thing. When I purchased my PRS from your store The Northeast Music Center, it was delivered dead of summer on a 95 degree day. Much to my surprise that guitar was spot on in tune ! Anyway, PEACE from Philadelphia
Beautiful burst that bit of iced tea going on there ,stuck between this and dgt goldtop great video Steve Manchester UK ✌️

Thank you too!
Very informative. Beautiful instrument. Gonna save up cash to get one.
If I wanted a video on tuning, this is the one. Oh, it has a switch, knobs, pickups, and output jack; I wonder what they’re for and what they sound like? Never mind, just like you said, I could walk onstage with it and wear a pretty guitar; that’s all that matters.
Good video
the blue one is calling my name

I preordered that blue one, but then they put up the cherry one. It's the bare wood, no veneer, and it just looks exquisite, so I changed my order.
shes a beauty .
the S.E line appear to be stepping up their game! Beautiful looking guitar!

I'm telling you, the SE's from 2021 and up are FANTASTIC!! I am an owner of several core models. 2 months ago, I drove 4 1/2 hours to Sweetwater to buy my first two SE's, a Custom 24-08 and a Silver Sky. They are incredible. Plays like a core but without the price tag. Obviously a core is going to be better, but man, it's so close. You cannot go wrong with purchasing an SE. I'd put them up against a MIA Strat or Les Paul any day, and I'd choose the SE myself.😉
I bought that same guitar about a month ago. Mine was perfect as delivered except it had a DGT truss rod cover instead of McCarty 594 cover. I contacted the retailer and they sent me the correct McCarty 594 cover. The neck angle, string height, cut of the nut, intonation and pickup height were all very good. The neck was near straight with just the slightest relief and the action was a smidge under 1.5 mm at the 12th fret which is pretty low. It is very playable and sounds great. Not sure how it ended up with DGT truss rod cover instead of McCarty 594 cover. Maybe they put it on at the factory or at PRS or at the retailer. Someone likely did a setup before delivery and accidentally swapped it out with the DGT cover.
I had a limited edition PRS McCarty Brazilian a couple decades back. I sold it. I wish I hadn't done that.
Would be nice to have it on the scale and also to measure neck thickness at the nut. Thank you for the video.

Noted for the next one!
That dark spot under the low E string adj the neck pup would drive me crazy.
❤❤
Both my core 594's are both heavy.. around 9.5-10lbs
Is the Grissom model the same type neck ?
He just casually goes into a cool Rush riff.
look at that.
You are killing me sitting the weight of the guitar on the cord and the jack.

90 degree plug everything is steel. 7lb guitar. What’s going to happen?
@northeastmusiccenterinc
Жыл бұрын
Hi Randy! When setting up guitars we use a 90 degree cable and we rest it on a nicely padded mat. It is imperative to set guitars up in the playing position and by resting it that way we can get the most accurate results. Plus we are not applying weight to the guitar so we do not experience any issues with damaging the jack or cable. Thanks!

Funny that imported PRS's have better binding work than American gibsons.

do you inspect all guitars this way as they come in?
@northeastmusiccenterinc
Жыл бұрын
Hey Danny! We try our best to do it as they arrive in the store. In most cases if a guitar gets ordered from our website we do this exact inspection before it goes to the customer and make any adjustments needed. Plus we do a full electronics inspection as well.
Does it have Abr-1 style bridge or Nashville bridge that cost more but does not sound as good.
@northeastmusiccenterinc
Жыл бұрын
It is an ABR-1 style, however there are small threaded studs underneath for a more secure thread.
if its so good right out of the box then why did you change the relief on the neck
42.9mm is considered a wide neck?

It is a shame that the 594s are only avaible in wide necks. A Fiore or DGT neck would be so nice.

Just curious why you said they don’t need set up? All guitars need set up. And I can see the one your messing w is awful high from where I sit. I mean this video would be fine for someone who didn’t know anything about guitars.
@northeastmusiccenterinc

PRS Sets up all of the guitars prior to shipping them to dealer stores. We attempted to show that to you in this video. They are one of a few manufacturers that take the time to get them "right" before sending them out. As far as the action being high, the guitar had perfect action out of the box. We measure each guitar with precision tools for accuracy and tuning stability. Now that being said, each and every guitar MAY need to be slightly adjusted to a certain players ability and touch, but the point of the video was to show that these guitars do not require a full and complete set up like much of the competition.

@@bobdorothy9719 My 594 SE double cut's action was a little high for my liking, but it was definitely playable. Just over 2mm at the 12th fret bass side. I had no problem bringing it down to 1.5mm on the bass side and 1.25 on the treble side. I didn't touch the truss rod, as it came with 0.2mm of neck relief at the 7th fret with no buzzing anywhere.

@@1sainteve1 that's sweet. That what I wanted to hear. Hopefully once I get some stuff paid down I'll be playing one. What color did you get. How's the finish?
@1sainteve1
11 ай бұрын
@@bobdorothy9719 I was hoping for vintage sunburst, but they only had blue. Poly finishes feel more 'plasicky' than nitro, but no flaws anywhere. The tuners are just OK. They hold their tune, but feel a bit rough. I've ordered a set of vintage style Gotohs. The neck is big, which is what I wanted for my arthritis. It's about the same size as either a Gibson 59 or their 'rounded' profile. Definitely not a 'slim taper'.
IL JOUE CELUI LA LÀ 😅😅😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😂😂😂👏👏👏✌👈
There is no danger that your personality getting in the way of the content 🤡 good job though 😎
Looks like a big neck. What would you compare it to? I ask because I had an SE Paul’s guitar and just couldn’t gel with that neck.
@keithangstadt4950
Жыл бұрын
Paul's guitar has the "Pattern" neck and this guitar has the "Pattern Vintage" neck. Pattern vintage is similar to '59 LP in measurement, but feels a bit slimmer. In all honesty, if the neck was too thick for you on the Paul's guitar you probably wouldn't gel with this one either.
