Can Tim not talk about Rolex? I heard that comment and I don’t understand.
Tim The Best Watch youtuber since his Watchuwant Days!
Let’s see how many hate filled, jealousy inspired, anti-Rolex comments fill up the comments section 🍿
I like aventurine glass dials, and I love Lange. Infact I bought my dad a Saxonia thin silver dial. But I really don't like the blue copper dial Saxonia. The colour in person isn't a vivid, deep blue, but a more purple-ish colour. Other aventurine dials look much better, atleast to me.
Excellent coverage as usual!
Thank you, Maurie! Best, Tim
Nice watch but for summer i will have to buy the same in san martin homage
Tim = Champion, love the show
That's very kind! Best, Tim
So good seeing a collection which isn't Rolex after Rolex. Cheers.
As ever brilliant
Where the hell is Jack! Did you hire him to keep him hidden in a closet or something?
Jack records when he comes down from home in NYC. We're based in Philadelphia, so his recording time is limited. Best, Tim
Florida man shares watch collection. Missed title opportunity 😂 Nice collection and story sir
@25:48 I have noticed that too. Will the secret ever be revealed?
My assumption, and it just that, is that it has something to do with 1916 now being a Rolex AD
Thank you Tim & Team
It was a pleasure to be back! Best, Tim
Awesome choice with the Frodsham. It will never get much recognition due to low production numbers and niche horology (sacrificing size just to end up with time-only), but that is an amazing escapement, true authentic heritage, and legit impressive accuracy. I want one. And you're right; 22K case with the royal warrants on the dial is the way to go.
The GO 70s has been on my list for a while. What a great piece! Awesome show Tim.
Still have my Invicta, now known as 3044, from 20 years ago.
You and Brian need to do another session soon.
Yeah... Your Wingspan is your BMI. ):
Always a good show!
Great video, lame name, WATCHBOX sounded way better
Tim! Fantastic show. Loved that you covered so many different brands with a combination of both mainstream and somewhat obscure pieces!
Thank you James! It's always a challenge to make everyone happy. I try to spread the styles and brands and price points as much as I can! Best, Tim
One more description of the dial on the Tudor…Pepto Bismol!
I see it... Best, Tim
Peppa pig watch.
Just finished binging all of the recorded watches tonight since the beginning 😭
Wow, you're my hero! Best, Tim
Best Show is back 🎉
And it's GREAT to be back! Best, Tim
Should we be nervous your full length (4 - 8 minute) watch reviews are dead?
You should be more nervous that the industry is dead
No. I just needed a bank of stuff to get me through a week out of the office, and 60-second videos are easier to shoot when you need 30+ of them. The regular format's production resumes tomorrow. They should be ready for public view on Wednesday morning or Thursday at the latest. I'm never giving up the regular length format. Best, Tim
@@the1916company Glad to hear that! Great show tonight by the way.
Ingeniur is still 4k CAD cheaper than GP Laureato, Piaget Polo, Chopard Alpine eagle and Bvlgari octo. About 30k cad cheaper than an overseas and about the same price as a jlc Polaris no date on a bracelet.
With all due respect, there's no comparison between the current Ingenieur Auto 40 and watches like the Laureato or Alpine Eagle. They're produced on a much higher level of detailing, care, and manual process. The IWC has no display caseback precisely because there's an identically austere 5-day movement in the $3,900 Riviera. The external metal work on the GP and Chopard are more intricate than the IWC, and the movements won't be found on similar watches priced at 1/3 the cost. Best, Tim
@@the1916companyI will disagree regarding the finishing, ingeniur is definitely at the same level of finishing as GP and Chopard, I was looking at it in a boutique shortly ago with a jewelers loop. The bracelet is superior to the jlc Polaris bracelet. Iwc may not of produce the mechanical parts but the movement is assembled, regulated abs finished by iwc. Comparing iwc work to BM is like comparing Toyota to mercedes. VC didn't use their own movement for the first 250 years of their existence and they are part of holy trinity, so to me completely in house is over rated. We can disagree, but I'm still a fan, keep up the good work.
@@bdegrds You are arguing with Tim on finishing levels?! Really?!
@@bdegrdsit isn’t the not in-house part that tim is criticizing it’s the fact that the movement is found in a watch 1/3 of the price AND ur plain wrong the chopard and gp are finished to a much higher standard on the outside as well
@@PT-xx9jzwhen did Tim become the only opinion that matters? Look at the piece, Think for yourself. And come up with your own opinion, don't be a sheep
Thanks for addressing my question and keep up the great content!
Can confirm the great vibes from Moser, Journe and Shane's general awesomeness 🍻
Also love habring, but dont tell anyone about them
Thank you for the pictures!
Meaningful experiences & stories for each of his watches that all started with his Dad’s intro to the hobby! Memorable interview! Much respect 🙏🏽
Another fascinating collector, I appreciate his approach and can see myself doing going down the rabbit hole of disassembling and assembling a timepiece 😅. I haven't had direct contact with the H Moser team, but they seem friendly and approachable. Shane's experience with Journe is kind of what I experienced. I went to the boutique for an event they hosted and couldn't be more impressed with how friendly and approachable they were, the complete opposite of what I thought it would be, and Cesar.. he's the man. I have not taken their invitation to come back to talk more about Journe but I will when I'm ready. Great job by Tim and The 1916 Company... keep it up
Tnks for adding pictures. Keep it up
thorougly enjoyed this one thx!
I could be wrong here but the whole Invicta thing seems to be more of them laughing at them than actually enjoying them?
The Invicta thing is them laughing at themselves and not taking themselves seriously. Invicta plays a huge role in watch collecting as long as you know what role that is: cheap fun like a Swatch.
This is so spot on 🙌🏼 the Invicta gladiator in the video is actually owned by Rob (the Navy seal )who has also been on the collector series it’s a watch everyone jokes around with and has fun with. It’s been tried on by a crazy number of watchmakers, Watch CEOs. There’s actually a couple of videos about this exact watch. Philippe Dufour has tried it on lol this watch has traveled the world 😂
There is watch addiction (count me in) and then there’s getting a watch tattoo on your chest.
I like this format of Tim Mosso and Armand talking watches, and focusing our attention to the watch being discussed. Very informative and exposes us to vintage watches. Look forward to the next iteration in this series. You covered the Bulgari Octo Finissimo. How does the Finissimo differ from the Octo Roma?
Great interview with a great watch enthusiastic and interesting pieces!
Tim’s disdain of Journe shining through
I'm here for it.
I wouldn't say distain. Just that his most important watches were released from 1999 (tourbillon) to 2009 (CB). With the possible exception of the Optimum, most of the series-produced Journe models since 2010 have been released to flesh out the line. There weren't many breakthrough products that took the industry in new directions Best, Tim
Another fascinating episode guys
Amazing interview. Love the variety of watches and his journey 😃
I love the santos, but think it is a little expensive because compete with entrh level rolex at 6500€ if you can buy one thhts an other problem with rolex, this santos have a cartier mouvment or an eta?
Guys the addition of pictures adds so much value to the podcast. Thank you so much. If you could ask an intern to go back to the chronograph podcast and add pictures to that one I think it could win whatever the youtube Emmy equivalent is. That content was “Godtier” in every way. Thanks again-
I'm thrilled to see it. We've been talking about this for a while, and I think it's essential if we're going to mirror the podcast on YT as opposed to just posting on podcast platforms. Best, Tim
For what it is, Cartier is arguably the most absurdly overpriced watch in the luxury watch industry
argues luxury watches are overpriced=small bank account
“Overpriced” is literally the modus operandi of luxury. They’re Veblen goods.
@@davidr2802 You are a self-projecting liar. I said Cartier is stupidly overpriced for what it offers but I will gladly pay $100K+ for Jaeger-LeCoultre and Audemars Piguet
@@ozzy1154 I said absurdly over priced which is what Cartier really is
Elaborate on which models and why they are overpriced rather than moaning without any explanation.
Gents, thanks so much for adding pictures!!! I know it takes more time, but really improved the YT experience. Great content as always,
These guys are trying to sell $100K+ watches - they really need to put some more effort into their videos
Lol so true the observations on model lines re bmw 😅
I have the medium blue dial Cartier and its so comfortable to wear. They have faith in it given the long guarantee.
These episodes should also be on Netflix, Amazon etc. Tim is the GOAT. Still waiting for the Wolfgang episode though 😀
