Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Tim sat down with Shawn Arani to discuss his extensive collection of Rolex watches. Shawn is a collector who is drawn to the stories that each watch holds and the journey they took before they arrived with him. Whether it’s vintage Oyster Perpetuals acquired decades after their creation or the design aesthetic of the modern Daytona and Day-Date, each piece commemorates a special place in life for him. Join Tim and Shawn as they walk us through that journey in this episode of Collector Conversation.

Thank you!!
These episodes perfectly demonstrate what watch collecting should be about. Watches are so subjective and each collection is an individual journey.
An incredible collection, put together with thought and great passion. It was really nice to hear the stories and thoughts behind the watches. One of the best episodes!👏👏👏
For me, this is by far the best episode. Fantastic stories and underrated gems!

He comes across as super pretentious 😂
Amazing collection, thanks Shawn & Tim 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Loved the thoughtfulness of his collection. Very aware that “you never really own a watch, you merely hold it for the next generation.” To copy a line from Patek. But it’s true nonetheless for every watch. He actually made me think more about my collecting philosophy.
just a week ago I picked up my first vintage watch, a 16710 coke from 1999. I was not prepared for how fragile the bracelet felt on wrist. The watch itself isn't drastically different from a modern watch, but that bracelet surprized me.

Vintage Rolexes are very janky. Modern machining has come a long way.
What a killer Cellini Love it!!
Great episode and a very thoughtful collector. I've never seen Tim fawn over a watch so much as that Cellini...And not letting it go haha. It must have been special.
A pleasure to watch 👍
I like the "years-of-service" watches. Some say this devalues a watch to have an inscription for, say, "To so-and-so in appreciation for 25 years service...such-and-such company and such-and-such date". I like them. I have a 1957 Rolex OP 6564 myself that has an inscription on the back to a gentleman for 25 years service from Montgomery Ward. I don't care what people say, I think it's cool and adds provenance. Bulova Accutrons were a popular brand given by companies back in the 60s and 70s as service watches.
Great collection, great guy. Congrats
would love another “watches of a musician” episode
Amazing collection love it ❤
well well done gentlemen.

Super enjoyable show…I love Shawn’s passion…
Beautiful collection 🤙
interesting interview, nice collection...
Wow, can Shawn fawn any more than he is, how many time did you he say, “oh that’s a great question” bro, we get it you’re a fan, relax. 😂😂😂😂😂 Love the channel 😊😊
He misspoke at 14:21. 2016 was the 60th anniversary of the Day-Date.
Enjoyed this.
Nice collection. Very thoughtful collector too. But..,You mean 1916 doesn’t give you a gold watch when you retire?
As stupid of a name if I’ve ever seen one 1916 company, watchbox was amazing name and brand
who wrote those dialogs? oscar winner for best stage-play adaptation?
Is he an actor?
watch box sold off the show or what
Boring
Rolex? Really? This collector is really pushing the boundaries of the hobby 😂
