Vintage Rolex is just so cool. Got to get one back in my collection. I had a 1999 Datejust 16200 I so regret selling that watch. I will get one back but fancy an air king date. You two boys sound like Yorkshire lads. Where are you based

We are indeed. We’re online only atm with plans to open a boutique in York next year. However we’re happy to meet anyone in the Yorkshire area. We mainly operate out of York, Harrogate and Leeds for in person meetings but happy to travel in the Yorkshire area!

Sure I can dislike Rolex. Those laurels they're resting on are pretty mouldy. Several other brands are objectively and significantly better by any measure that isn't fanboy twitching

They treat their customers very well. It’s the annoying visitors to their stores that aren’t technically “customers” that they don’t treat so nicely.

@@NinjaNovice I am a fan of quality mechanical watches not hype.The popularity of rolex (the brand) is not based on the quality of rolex watches (although they are quality watches) but rather the hype and the perception of them as a status symbol. most people who buy and own rolex watches are doing so primarily for the status not the quality while I appreciate the quality of rolex I I am not at all a fan of the brand or the hype.

Sure you can dislike Rolex - I dislike modern Rolex, Hublot, etc and yes my thing is vintage pieces - 60 years old is quite nice.

It is a cognitive error thinking one cannot dislike Rolex because when one doesn't one does not know anything about watches. One could say the same about Omega...even as this does not go well with many Rolex fans. Similar reasoning we find with brands like Apple, Martin and Mercedes. This argument is getting old. I do appreciate the brand and respect it because it 100% definitely deserves respect...however respect is something else than the subjective liking of something. Rolex in general does not do much for me... I simply do not like them all that much. It is called personal taste. Yes of course there will be several Rolexes I like (all black Daytona is really nice or that gorgeous pre-Daytona at 22:15!)...but in general they do nothing for me. Why? For example because for the amount one has to put down for a Rolex, the alternatives are mind blowing. Also the argument that no watch brand would be where they are now can be reversed to Rolex. Without Omega, Longines or Vacheron...Rolex would not be where they are today either...it is what it is. I do always love Jasper's knowledge as it is eloquent and very informative, spot on and entertaining. There is just one blindspot...the blind love for Rolex. To repeat the same statement about not being able to dislike Rolex is not going to make it a truth. Great video nevertheless, I love hearing his passion for watches...whether he talks Rolex or not.

Instead of one million watches, Rolex are going to produce more than two million watches per year by building a new factory. All Rolex watches are all made by hand🤣. All the marketing of Rolex is a big scam, and people believe in it.🤣

Even the half "Broken" run down vintage watches from Rolex have a high price , for what ? Because people see a not existing value in them , it's a fuckin hype .
