Brilliant episode Tim. Owning a perpetual calendar is still some way off in my watch collecting journey, so this was fascinating and educational.

Brilliant Tim. You and 1916 already do so much to educate and share information with the watch community...this is going to continue to push y'all light years ahead. Very interesting video, nice to hear them all explained in comparison!

Thank, James! I'm excited about building this series over the next year. It should amount to a respectable library of resources in time. I also like that it's not totally self-serving, since any user or even a competitor can reference the videos as needed. Any suggestions for future installments? Best, Tim

@@the1916companywatchreviews completely, I think that's why the brand has done so well, is because viewers find value regardless of whether they buy or not. And yes actually - I'd love some detail on lateral vs vertical clutch chronos and what it is that allows you to keep the movement running without hazard on vertical.

Just got the 150th anniversary Ludwig Perpetual, and now I want the Moser more, 😂 You’re killing me Tim, I didn’t know there was a more robust perpetual out there:( One with no danger zone hour?!? Touché Moser Also how would you compare the Andreas Strehler perpetual movement to the Ludwig Oechslin movement? Based on the lack of danger zone in the Moser, do you consider one of the movements superior to the other? Do you happen to know if Andreas Strehler build upon Ludwig Oechslin’s idea? I would absolutely love to hear your thoughts on this:) Thank you so much!

Dont know why people bother. The most I like is day date that you dont have to set each month. Add that to nice Chrono and it's the most complecated watch I'd like to own. Ok, ok, add a hour hand that you can set individually, for my travels. Oh, chiming for hour and half hour, for my meetings. And an alarm. Thats it, I promise.

The JLC works just like the IWC. Its only difference is that a dimple pusher rather than the crown jumps the calendar. Best, Tim
