Dodge is trying to sell 4 cylinder CUVs to muscle car people, when the company should have tried to appeal to the market segment that buys CUVs, such as the RAV-4, CR-V and Rogue. Dodge went after the wrong market segment, and overpriced the Hornet. The Hornet should have been several thousand dollars *cheaper than* the RAV and CRV, not several thousand dollars MORE expensive, in order for customers to take a chance on it. Dodge is making a similar mistake with the EV Charger. Muscle car folks want nothing to do with EVs, yet the EV Charger ads are trying to win over muscle heads. Dodge, for the 2nd straight time, marketed a vehicle to the wrong customer segment. Although prices for the Charger EV haven't been announced yet, I have no doubt it will be much more expensive than a base model Tesla.

It's funny because I just went from a manual 4v Blackwing to a TLX Type S. Very different cars. The Blackwing is an absolutely amazing drivers car - not sure any car under $65k can compete. The torque and exhaust note are fabulous. Ultimately, I got tired of the manual in Tampa traffic and the gas. The Blackwing is a gas guzzler. The type S is just a more affordable daily. I might have to get another Blackwing in a couple years. Enjoy !

@@DadsGarageDIY it's honestly the best semi-affordable all around car on the market right now. And I do have a CT5 BW in the family as well. The ct4 is more engaging and much more agile. The only mistake you made was not getting the manual! Not only are they even more engaging but are more sought after as dealers are discounting the automatics.

Between the Dodge Charger, Challenger and the Chrysler 300, they've lost over 4 billion dollars a year in sales. Yes, that's with a "B." I don't see how you survive the first year which is this year. I think the media had everybody hooked on the 392s and hellcats even myself, but needless to say I went to a dealership for a scat and test drove a charger RT and everything that the media and people were saying about it being slow and not being enough power was thrown out the window I fell in love with my 22 charger and for 30k out the door was enough for me to drive off the lot. I get compliments all the time and people ask me what's under the hood because they can't believe it's a 5.7. Plus my insurance and payments are a ton less than a new scat pack.
