How have you only got 1.2k followers? Brilliant content mate 👍🏻
Thanks for the kind words appreciate it.
how can you tell the water is deep enough to jump?
Swam into the water first and did some test dives, but really just use your best judgment and make the call yourself on your level of risk
Lovely van , your projector screen is very cool
Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed
Awesome video, good job with the van.
Thank you
Serious question as I fancy giving spearfishing a go, I notice at around 6m 50s you return to the surface and there are paddle-boarders close-by, Is it still safe to discharge the speargun when people are nearby and does anyone ever complain?
P.S great video, nice shots of Gilly and Swanpool :)
Hi, I think the best bet is to use good judgement, i wouldn’t dive near swimmers etc. I haven’t had problems yet. However, the more experienced you become the more you realise fish are typically where people aren’t!
Wow really cool video! My Favorite shot is 3:45 Your an inspiration!
Thanks for the kind words, got some big news coming soon, stay tuned
@@rolyfoster697 looking forward to it!
Liiiiiiit! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sickest video lad 💚🏍️💨
Appreciate the kind words ❤
What ladder did you get for your build!
Hi, I’ve just uploaded a new video with links to sites where I bought all the parts of the van from
How does your van handle hills?
No trouble at all, much much better than my Old Ford transit
Great van but the insulation is an issue and I doubt the van has resale value because of it
Why do you think the insulation is an issue?
Mega video
Appreciate the support
All these years I thought the crabs were stealing my bait, if I see bubbles next time, I'll know it's you giggling.......all those fish that got away......Sammy the seal my ass, I'm on to you :)
Greet footage. 👌
Amazing video. Really inspiring. Thank you!
I'm here for the tunes 🙌 great work too
Appreciate it, a lot more to come this summer
One thing I can say Roly you have good taste in music. Plus a good van build Al green 🎵🎵
Thanks very much, appreciate it
great video!
enjoying the series and getting a few ideas from it also, thanks
No worries, glad you enjoyed
Were you near croyde? If so i was tyere around the same time in my vivaro. What was the issue in the end and how much if you dont mind me asking to get fixed
Yes I was! Good to hear it man. So my engine started knocking and the whole block had gone, I’ve just got it back and it cost around 5k which was a right pain the arse, however I did get alot of other bits done at the same time because the engine was already out the van and it made sense. All ready for a 2 month trip around Europe next year
Amazing, yes the drone shot with the building up on the road you are on is the building from grand designs. Glad you kept the van and got it fixed as you put a lot of work into it. Trip sounds 👍. Where are you based?
Did you get it fixed?
Currently being fixed, should be ready before Christmas, and planning a BIG trip to europe next year so stay tuned for plenty of content on that! 👊
Hi mate is this SWB or LWB? Lovely build btw
Thank you very much, it’s a LWB
Is this SWB?
No, it’s a LWB
What is the track that’s playing please
Love and Soulsaving by OOFT! Sorry for the slow reply
This looks amazing mate, would I possibly be able to get a location please?
Yeh of course, 2 High St, Pontneddfechan, Glynneath, Neath SA11 5NP. This address will get you to where the walk starts, It’s about 20 minutes to the first and another 15 to the big one. Just follow the creek up stream
Loved your videos 👍, all the hard work is worth it in the end. Cracking job mate 👌👏
Thanks very much, glad to you enjoyed them
Another ace video 👍
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Hey, not sure how you're getting on with your van. But that insulation is a deffo no no. I used the same stuff for the same money saving reason coming from the building trade myself. Turns out this type of insulation and metal don't like eachother. The insulation holds on to way too much moisture. I had mine in for about 2 months from end of winter. When I took it out it was literally soaking, mouldy and causing rust. So maybe consider checking yours before you're sleeping In a mould shack
Hey, thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately I’m way past that now and the van is finished. I actually used this exact same insulation in my old van that I had for 5 years and never had any problems. So I just re used the same stuff, so I guess it could be hit and miss. But I will definitely take that on board for next time. Thanks for watching
I like watching your working but the annoying loud music made me go away
Aah! Shite man that’s bad luck! I’ve been looking at a vivaro for a conversation, what was the mileage on it out of interest.

Well done Roly, you worked really hard and the end result is fabulous. It’s inspired us to get going on our Vivaro asap. Hope you enjoy your van!
Thank you so much for the support and kind words, goes a long way. Hopefully this weather clears up soon enough and I can get out there and enjoy the fruits of my labour. Good luck with your build, let me know how it goes!
@@rolyfoster697 we’re doing a temporary fix for now to take down to our son in Polseath as he is currently almost as wet in his tent as he is on his surfboard! We will start the renovation for real when he comes back before returning to unI. I’m going to share your channel with him to inspire him……😁🏄🏻♂️🚗
Went for my first ever speargun session a couple of weeks back. Moved down to glorious South West Cornwall in November 2022 and life has been an amazing adventure ever since! Struggled a bit, wetsuit was slightly too big, so kept getting ice-cold showers on my chest and back, sure takes the breath away! Also, my mask wasn't a great fit, left side kept leaking slightly. First time ever snorkelling, let alone speargun fishing, so I guess it's a case of getting my equipment sorted out first! I didn't even take the gun out, wanting to get used to the new experience first, but my mate, a born and bred Cornish lad, got a 5lb thornback and a good few scallops which we ate on the beach. Literal HEAVEN! What mask and wetsuit do you use, please mate? Superb video, of course I sub'd!
Great to hear, wish I was in a position to move to cornwall but not quite yet. Spearfishing is such a fun journey to start, take you time choosing the right kit, good kit is always worth the investment if you look after it. Glad you liked the video - I have a few more planned for the next couple of months
Heya, What watt inverter did you get? And did you get lithium batteries? Cheers 😊
Hi mate, this is a 1500w inverter and I’m using 2 lead acid batteries
Fair play mate bad ass! Just done my own vivaro conversion. Not fully finished yet but loving the build. Where did you get the roof rack?
Hi mate, appreciate the support. Good on you hope you get it finished in time for some summer trips. It is a Rhino roof rack, I got this one second hand from Facebook market place/ eBay
Need to move off my couch and get my vivaro finished only been 4 mths :) You are putting me to shame young man :)
4 months isn’t that long, this took me a year! Stick with it, it all pays off in the end trust me. Glad you like it, thanks for the support!
I've just done basically the same thing but gone to Scarborough and lets just say I filled a few pages in the notebook of chamges to do in Viv-i-van. Your van is looking like a real home. It was a great video. Bessy regs- Kenny
Gald to hear it mate, thanks for you continued support, it goes a long way!
my man said give me all the sand in the pot
Mistakes where made yes
@@rolyfoster697 😂😂 had me crying, great content lad gives me something to watch when I’m not in the sea
@@SkylineDive hahha, I couldn’t tell the if it was the sand that was crunchy on the shell! Appreciate that mate, means a lot - glad you enjoyed it, plenty more to come
Hello from brand new subscriber from the USA, I enjoyed your video, so I decided to subscribe to support your channel and enjoy other videos as well as new ones. The drone footage was really pretty, well done.Take care.
Thanks for the support!
do you reckon its freediveable to find stuff? like lost phones and cameras
Hi mate, definitely dive-able, slightly peaty dark water so bring a torch, not sure you will find much but always worth a shot. Enjoy 👊
@@rolyfoster697 Thanks mate. 🙌
Well done dude - summer adventure time!!
Thanks mate appreciate it, a few more tweaks and were good to go, hopefully getting out there this weekend
Looking realy good makes me want to do my roof and sides in wood.
Thanks mate, why don’t you, a little winter project maybe?
Really enjoyed the build man!
Thanks! Appreciate it
Hiya mate, also converting a swb vivaro here. The set of cupboards across from the couch/bed. You got the dimensions? How deep is it?
Hi mate, this van is a lwb, I think it’s around 30cm deep, and the overhead units are a bit smaller maybe 20m. Will need to check for the exact size
@@rolyfoster697 cheers mate that's handy info!
Hi, just in the process of converting the same van! What did you use to join the overhead cupboard to the roof?
I just screwed the frame into the roof batons and into the metal roof frame but being careful to not go through the actual roof
Hello from Germany, nice work! May I ask how high the bench/bed is? Do you have enough headroom when you sit? Thanks, Martin
Hi Martin, i don’t know of the top of my head, I think it’s around 30/40cm with a small 10cm mattress. If I sit up dead straight then my head just touches the ceiling but no one ever sits like that so it’s fine
That cupboard set up is sick
Thank you
Im so impressed 👍
Glad you enjoyed, appreciate the support!
Wow, way better than my vivaro 😂
The videos are on a slight delay, I’ve nearly finished it, just wait for the end result, it will be mega!
How do it work out putting the gas above the battery ? Why didn’t you vent the gas and put the battery on top.
I wanted really easy quick access to the gas so that I can turn it off at the bottle when I’m not cooking, it’s worked really well, i would vent the gas if I had a bigger bottle or a more complicated set up but I don’t so I’m happy with how it works
Great video mate, really enjoyed! Didn't realise scallops could be found so close to shore...
Neither did i until I tried some new spots, the English coastline will always surprise you. Glad you enjoyed the video, welcome to the channel!
