Eddy isn’t weak at all haha what are you talking about? If you’re spamming 3,3,3,3,3 all day long then yes , but Eddys mix’s up are beautiful , great pokes , GREAT COMBOS , great defense punishment mechanisms like df1, 3 , his heat is disrespectfully GREAT, his b3+4 power crush is an amazing high , there’s a few moves that forces opponents to crouch , his b1, 4,3, 3+4 last hit is super safe now (unlike Tekken 7), & much more. it’s a reason why jeondding keeps making top 8 with Eddy .
Lol i think the battlepass is intentionally bad, maybe investors and bandainamco want it in, but devs make it like this so u DON’T BUT IT.

He simply has no neutral game. Your gameplan focuses on defending the enemy moves more than any other character (all but steve of course). I tried to show my friend paul but he simply was not able to even move close to the enemys lol. He lacks a ton and all the new buffs didnt attack any of his problems
The items in the battle pass should be unlockable for all , As none of it is worth anything really
Into the Stratossphere for me is S tier I actually like it slightly better than Fallen Destiny

I still don’t have a main (only played Tekken in its entirety for 3 months), and I’m not using this list as a way to choose. Still, it’s interesting to look at. And as a new player it gives me a bit of perspective on which characters to watch out for. Obviously I want to try to learn every matchup at some point, but Tekken 8 is already much more complex than Smash (the only other fighting game I’ve played), so I’m just taking it one step at a time

I notice that while yes you can just buy one pass then keep going with the coins but hey...what if you want a store pack...then you have spent coins from the battle pass meaning you come up short for the next one then pay anyways.
I think people might not be able to separate the dev team vs the Bamco business unit. Unfortunately they need to make the most money (who knows what this will be like when Sparking Zero comes out.) I don't think an individual dev is celebrating the lukewarm battlepass. Theres no way. Now I think its shitty nonetheless. Also way I see it we are getting story expansion dlc for free while you have to pay for that privledge in MK1. Monkey's Paw.
2:10 They are only receptive to criticism in some areas. The ranked system and matchmaking are terrible and have been complained about to death, yet they don't even address it. Instead of making a decent ELO based ranked system, they stealth patched prowess matchmaking in and made it even worse.
Good to see that Alisa is still good as she is my number 1 terror when it comes to Tekken now (She's my only Garyu in the game my highest rank) after Reina got nerfed (Despite nerf I still managed to get her to Vanquisher so she still has some viability) which leads into my biggest regret in Tekken was my Reina and King investment. I did not know that Paul was ranked so low down the list but at least I've completely avoided the bottom of the list which I feel is a good thing part of it had to do with my strong dislike of Eddy. I am slowly warming up to Dragunov but getting used to him is my biggest challenge at the moment as he lacks the hyper mobility of Alisa and Reina that I'm used to he has very high damage though like King. One thing to note no matter how high tier a character is I've figured out if your not used to the character the opponent will sniff it out and punish fast.
I definitely played a bunch of Lidia then went back to Reina and Reina just feels so good to play for me. I'm still on the Lidia main train but i definitely just need to get used to how she plays. Her mids are excellent when you can hit them.
I think an aspect of “dishonest” characters that got passed up is the fact that some character have extremely long strings that are generally safe/hard to avoid and can often force you into a 50/50 situation where you can lose a ton of life. You essentially never get a turn to fight back. Characters that come to mind immediately that have this archetype is Xiaoyu, Nina, Reina, Zafina, Alisa, and King. It seems like a majority of these characters key moves/strings are safe on block/plus on hit or they force a mixup situation where you’re constantly on the defense. And if you manage to steal your turn they have more than enough panic moves to take their turn back
I would like to see Harada introduce an app for phones/tablets that allows us to go onto our account and make changes to our customized characters. Additionally the app would have frame Data for each character in the game so we could look it up while not actively playing the game. And just to flesh the app out, could also make small profile changes and look up our battle stats. But let me know what you think.

This man says the game is balanced... Ha. It can be balanced with people like drag jin yoshi brian and feng. They clearly outdo the whole cast easy. Yoshi is top 5 no way around it. He cant be stopped.

should it not be? it is horrible i agree but putting good stuff in it would just make half the player base mad since the game already costs $70~100 and most people can't afford to pay for additional in app purchases, i think they were required to add all forms of monetization but didn't want to take too much away from the players like literally every other game out there (halo infinite locked colors behind paywalls even though they were a staple in the series since the beginning afaik) and are now stuck with this poopoo, should've just added a donation button or something but the higher-ups wouldn't want that i imagine

I main lars, I liked the character ever since I saw him in the naruto ninja storm series as a guest character however it feels like this character is what most call, ONE. BIG. FAT. KNOWLEDGE CHECK If I go against someone who has little to no knowledge about lars, I win the match 8/10, but against someone who knows what to look out for in my gameplay I basically just have to play the waiting game and wait for them to goof up somehow

Tekken 8 is garbage. They made huge mistakes... the fatal one being "heat" as a new battle system.
What they are doing is adding small things like this to make people regret not getting them layer for added items that go with other dumb items (white ball + new rubbermask) Spiderman and red hoods everywhere
