  Я не читал Лумиса и не знаком с его методом, но я сомневаюсь, что он говорил, что нужно рисовать одинаковые пропорции... Вообще, художники так не рисуют, они не рисуют круги, квадратики и т.д. это просто способ проверки твоего построения, во всяком случаи, в России учат так, что эти схемы не пошаговая инструкция, а просто объяснение формы головы и её не надо рисовать, рисовать надо то, что у тебя перед глазами, рисовать надо натуру такой какая она есть и с учетом её особенностей, проверять конструкцию головы с помощью ранее изученных схем. Не надо рисовать головы как показано на схеме, это не инструкция, ещё раз повторяю. Просто у нас много людей тоже этого бреда наслушались и повторяют как обезьянки безмозглые.

  I learned nothing from this. I'm trying to start drawing as an adult after giving up as a kid. You pretty much said, "Learn to draw by drawing." Thanks... Draw what? How? What's good to learn as a beginner? Portraits? Objects? Environments? What should I start with? How do you go about learning them, and what's a good way for a beginner to learn to make these things and not get stuck or overwhelmed by something over-detailed? How do I learn the fundamentals? What even are the fundamentals? I'm still stuck at square 1 with a blank sheet of paper and untouched pencils.

  This video is good but whata got missed is that you didn't show drawing the hand continuosly as showed on the video of how to draw the face. So I replayed this video so many times and still in confusion. I was not able to draw along the video . Anyway thanks for your tutorials. You are amking very drawing as simple as possible by internally showing shapes. In my school drawing classes they never broke complicated drawings into simpler shapes. This approach is helping me to get drawings with perfect shape. Thanks alot.

  loomis method is not meant to be copied 1 to 1 but its a reference on how you should break down or see heads and faces to simpler forms
