Many people don't know this , but Marcel actually saved my life. One day, I was watching Draw Like A sir tutorials and a thief broke in and held my family at gunpoint. I secretly took out my phone and clicked on a tutorial and the thief immediately dropped his gun and took a paper and started drawing. I took this time to call 911 and they showed up and they started watching the tutorial together like good friends. When the video ended, The cops arrested the thief. Marcel, I am forever in debt to you for saving my life. I don't know how to express my gratitude for you.

ive been watching for like a year now these are easily the best tutorials out there for art

I can draw hands but putting them in perspective is hard

These tutorials keep getting better n better I love to see it. And I well gladly say these videos still help me to this day, silhouett-ing especially was a game changer

I seriously hope to grow up as an artist like you. All my practice and knowledge came from you and i don't regret one bit of using my time to educate myself on your videos. I watched your old tutorial, still struggling with hands, but I definitely improved thanks to you, I know this tutorial will be just as useful

This was super helpful, thank you! I think one of the hardest parts is getting good proportions (something that I find resonates within every aspect of art), so starting with blocking, then basic shapes, then exaggerations helps to make for a more organic hand. I still very much need to spend time practicing since there's of course a lot to learn, foreshortening being a particularly looming topic, but already I can tell the difference.
