F.A.Q.
Q: Was Dave born under a rock and raised by dingoes?
A: Close. Dave was born to right-wing, Christian parents, was homeschooled K-12, was not allowed to listen to secular music, watch TV, go to movies.
Q: Why is the guy on the right hidden?
A: John's legal counsel advises maintaining a low profile.
Q: How old are you guys?
A: Dave was born in 1986, John was born in the early 1960's.
Q: How do you select what song you're going to react to?
A: Every song suggestion goes onto our master spreadsheet. As songs collect more requests from viewers, they are pushed higher on the priority-list.
Q: Are you guys just acting so you can get big money from youtube fame?
A: Dave's reactions are 100% legitimate and believe me, you are seeing the real Dave and John. We average $10.60/month from KZread. Nobody's buying a Porsche anytime soon.

Not proggy? Are we listening to the same song?
“Madam Im Adam” from beginning to end all palindrome truly impressive songwriting to make the song flow and rhyme O stone be no so, o Geronimo no minor ego actually rhymes I grew up with weird Al he’s so awesome
It is about rumors of his pro baseball team moving away. The band is from California.
You got me with the overpopulation rant. I'm with ya on that. This song captivated me when the album came out. (Yes, the album. The whole album is a treasure trove.)
The best song of 1978-79! Најбоља песма 1978-79! 1978-79 legjobb dala!
Need to do the logical song.
you are so right! - Thanks. - JD
Absolutely awful version of this song to react to, and never have heard Chicago and generic linked together!!! 😞
I think you are right in there with your theory. Other than that, it’s just a really great Styx song!
This song is flawless, a work of genius. There are at least four great songs on that album, really really great, and Carry On...is not one of those four. I am sick of it being overplayed for more than forty years. Steve Walsh sings this so beautifully, and Kerry and Rich's guitars are sublime.
You might like 'Harley' by Johnny Cash. Best wishes. . .
11:45 The meaning of IGY is that more happens in Europe than in the US. Some things have already happened. "Undersea rails" are also real, as demonstrated by the Eurotunnel between France and the UK. "In 90 minutes from New York to Paris" refers to the Concorde. The Concorde was lost due to its price and the loss of customers who worked in the World Trade Center. Now, the world economy is rising (more in Europe), and we have more money. The governments now know better how to govern effectively (in Europe). These are all improvements by scientists. You just have to vote for politicians who adopt these improvements. Just have to grab the apple! 16:00 Regarding the free sale of weapons, shootings occur all over the world, even in places where weapons are not freely available. However, it is evident that in places where you can freely buy weapons, it is not safe enough to walk the streets with dignity. Science can evaluate relationships. If one does not accept this, then no one Swinging On A Star. kzread.info/dash/bejne/c6J307yRmKq6nZM.html ... Greetings from Portugal
Please try asia triple xxx the best 👌
The peak of prog. Not better keyboard players though.
You are thinking too much this is one of the greatest driver songs ever you got to move to the trick of the beat
Without an appreciation of existentialism, the song might feel bombastic. It really is quite simple, yet the celebratory factor of choosing to overcome the subjective obstacles to change is central to much of the best music of the 70s. The time was a time of lost souls choosing acceptance of what we think obstructs us. "They" were in the way, and ran the show. Spiritual quests lost their meaning. "Those were few who saw it through."
Check out, Ebony Eyes, by Bob Welch, worthy of a listen.
Whiney? Complainy? Are you serious? Its obvious you have no clue what good music is. Go back to playi g your video gam3s and your justin beibler.
STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN IS THE BEST. JIMMI SAID THAT STEVIE RAY WAS A BETTER THEN HIM. RIGHT FROM THE HORSES MOUTH. IT'S STEVIE RAY. ❤❤❤❤
OK what song was he jamming on. Good work by Alan too.
Reminds more of John McLaughlin.
I see someone’s already pointed out that the Union was 1991, not 1994. I don’t know if anyone’s mentioned that they were four living members of yes not on the union tour.
Very EVH. Tuneless twiddling.☹️.
Union was '91 not '94.
That was 1991 Union, 1994 was the Talk Tour.
No.
I effing hate Turkey. I also understand that there aren't any hard/fast rules about what you shove in your pie-hole on Thanksgiving. It's not the King of made-up holidays but it's close.
Adam Lambert isn't any comparison to Freddie Mercury.
Sir Dr. Brian May wrote the song so you can stop vilanising Freddie for singing it. Pair of tools.
What is the time signature change at the end of the guitar solo?
Nice reaction. I love this song. My favourite line is "make yourself null and void"
Can you imagined in 1977 we had no information about this song.....there was no explanations...nothing and people who heard this song this entire album came up with their own meaning of this entire album, particularly this song! And we knew for the album "Fragile" that this was a Cosmic journey of the soul going through an Awakening for the wonders of the Universe!!! It was WILD!!!!
The opening section is essential for the song. I admit that the first couple times listening to it, a long long time ago, I used to skip it, but now that I know what's coming and how the song ends, I enjoy this as much as the rest of the song. Probably because I'm looking forward. Anticipation is the greatest joy.
Though their hearts so heavily weighED... Darling WELL away (no apostrophe)
Most endangered species the honest MAN. This was from 70s but boy do it come in affect today. TRUMP SUCKS didn't vote for a DICTATOR AND A LIEER THE MOST ENDANGERED SPECIES THE HONEST MAN, MAYBE THE "R" AND MR ORANGE ,JUST SAYING IT SOUNDS familiar but watch out don't vote for Dictator, pease RUSHRULES.
I am not sure if it was cause I bought the CD around release or just was paying attention to the initial music video, but I knew pretty early on it was a satirically take on pop songs/artists/industry, and that was part of it's charm when it was in heavy rotation on radio/MTV for me.
Another masterpiece from the most incredible band on the planet
Apple's and oranges to me. Both great. One could not replace other. Saw this tour really great.
There were no "delay devices" back then, not parameters to set. They literally (literalist? I don't think so) had to stretch the tape across the room between two tape recorders to get the delay. "Two by two human zoo", Noah's flood didn't have a human Zoo, it had an animal zoo. Weak and a "nonliteralist" reaction. Thumbs down for me.
You really need the rest of side 1 for context. Lamb is one of my top all time albums, but I rarely listen to Side 3/4. After the title track you HAVE to listen to Fly and Broadway Melody... Peter was suffering creatively, mentally and emotionally during this period. This is HIS story and statement.
It's McCartney's version of 'Nowhere Man'. Though I often thought it was about John Lennon - I think I read somewhere (Cynthia Lennon's Twist of Lennon') he lived on a hill.
every time I hear this song it makes me so sad😢
Why sad? - JD
@@LiteralistReactions I don't know really it just feels like it feels like they're describing such a lonely desperate human being
Well, it is said "ignorance is bliss." The Fool in question had a very full life. - JD
You didn’t let it play to hear him say “thank you”. Dude, you can’t disrespect EP like that. You’re dancing awfully close to the unsubscribe button.
Thank you... than you very much. - JD
Written at a time when Kerry Livgren was searching for the meaning of his existence and life in general, he finds Christianity! What a great song. God bless and Rock on!
That was good.... I still think Steve Howe is better than EVH and Trevor Rabin....
Sounds like you are mocking the song and everything about it. Great song greatest band.
There is no mocking in the least and nothing but respect for The Beatles. - JD
Dial up Shawn Lane evéybody at this time no one was on his level , not even the level beneath
Hitch a ride what can I say… Boston is fabulous and the literalist “opinion”… dead on. (play on words ahoy)
I was luckey enough to see him in concert atvthe UMO in maine back in the 80s, double trouble tour. Mind blown. Never had heard of him. Liten to his Mary had a little lamb. Another great guitarist, Orey Anthy
My other favorite light hearted tune by Dire Straits is Twisting by the Pool.
