F.A.Q.

Q: Was Dave born under a rock and raised by dingoes?
A: Close. Dave was born to right-wing, Christian parents, was homeschooled K-12, was not allowed to listen to secular music, watch TV, go to movies.

Q: Why is the guy on the right hidden?
A: John's legal counsel advises maintaining a low profile.

Q: How old are you guys?
A: Dave was born in 1986, John was born in the early 1960's.

Q: How do you select what song you're going to react to?
A: Every song suggestion goes onto our master spreadsheet. As songs collect more requests from viewers, they are pushed higher on the priority-list.

Q: Are you guys just acting so you can get big money from youtube fame?
A: Dave's reactions are 100% legitimate and believe me, you are seeing the real Dave and John. We average $10.60/month from KZread. Nobody's buying a Porsche anytime soon.

This song is flawless, a work of genius. There are at least four great songs on that album, really really great, and Carry On...is not one of those four. I am sick of it being overplayed for more than forty years. Steve Walsh sings this so beautifully, and Kerry and Rich's guitars are sublime.

11:45 The meaning of IGY is that more happens in Europe than in the US. Some things have already happened. "Undersea rails" are also real, as demonstrated by the Eurotunnel between France and the UK. "In 90 minutes from New York to Paris" refers to the Concorde. The Concorde was lost due to its price and the loss of customers who worked in the World Trade Center. Now, the world economy is rising (more in Europe), and we have more money. The governments now know better how to govern effectively (in Europe). These are all improvements by scientists. You just have to vote for politicians who adopt these improvements. Just have to grab the apple! 16:00 Regarding the free sale of weapons, shootings occur all over the world, even in places where weapons are not freely available. However, it is evident that in places where you can freely buy weapons, it is not safe enough to walk the streets with dignity. Science can evaluate relationships. If one does not accept this, then no one Swinging On A Star. kzread.info/dash/bejne/c6J307yRmKq6nZM.html ... Greetings from Portugal

Without an appreciation of existentialism, the song might feel bombastic. It really is quite simple, yet the celebratory factor of choosing to overcome the subjective obstacles to change is central to much of the best music of the 70s. The time was a time of lost souls choosing acceptance of what we think obstructs us. "They" were in the way, and ran the show. Spiritual quests lost their meaning. "Those were few who saw it through."

Can you imagined in 1977 we had no information about this song.....there was no explanations...nothing and people who heard this song this entire album came up with their own meaning of this entire album, particularly this song! And we knew for the album "Fragile" that this was a Cosmic journey of the soul going through an Awakening for the wonders of the Universe!!! It was WILD!!!!

The opening section is essential for the song. I admit that the first couple times listening to it, a long long time ago, I used to skip it, but now that I know what's coming and how the song ends, I enjoy this as much as the rest of the song. Probably because I'm looking forward. Anticipation is the greatest joy.

I am not sure if it was cause I bought the CD around release or just was paying attention to the initial music video, but I knew pretty early on it was a satirically take on pop songs/artists/industry, and that was part of it's charm when it was in heavy rotation on radio/MTV for me.

There were no "delay devices" back then, not parameters to set. They literally (literalist? I don't think so) had to stretch the tape across the room between two tape recorders to get the delay. "Two by two human zoo", Noah's flood didn't have a human Zoo, it had an animal zoo. Weak and a "nonliteralist" reaction. Thumbs down for me.

You really need the rest of side 1 for context. Lamb is one of my top all time albums, but I rarely listen to Side 3/4. After the title track you HAVE to listen to Fly and Broadway Melody... Peter was suffering creatively, mentally and emotionally during this period. This is HIS story and statement.
