    This was a amazing ride 80% of the time, but on that off chance you get stuck with two terrible cast members, man was it a cringefest. Still a great movie ride! (Pun intensely intended)

    I had the pleasure of going to Pleasure Island back in the mid 1990's. My favorite place was the Adventurer's club. (liars club) It was the most fun I had there. Liked the Country venue as well, but I do miss the laughs and fun at the Adventurer's club. When I went back it was gone. The whole place has gone downhill, fast. Won't go back ever again.

    There's nothing wrong with adult entertainment - the purveyor of this channel is a Wokeness on Steroids prize fool. To quote Elon Musk's clever retort to Disney CEO Bob Iger: "Go f*** yourself."

    The gorilla at the showbiz pizza in my town growing up scared that Shiite out of me as a kid and a teenager.! I don't know who designed that ape but he was freaking massive and those old animatronics would jerk really violently and loudly . when he wasn't animated in between the shows, when the stage was dark and the room was devoid of all kids I know several times I saw that creepy son of a beotch move his eyes to look at me. Not to mention when I was growing up my town was almost all white and Hispanic and something that looked like a giant black man was just terrifying as a kid lol not in a racist way but in a innocent young white kid who rarely saw any black people.

    "Thankfully, he [Christopher Lloyd] was willing to take on the role of another eccentric character...." Because Christopher Lloyd's not afraid to stretch as an actor! 🙀 You have to wonder how much scarier Tim Curry was, given how Lloyd played Doom!

    I'm 70 and have been in O-town since 1980 - back in the day I probably went to Pleasure Island a number of times and myself and the people I was with never heard of any backstory and probably never cared. It was a shame that Rosie's had to close in the downtown since that was much nearer and the closing had a negative effect on the city and what to do there.

    Disney themselves claimed the Lion King was inspired by Shakespeare’s Hamlet, as both involve the uncle killing the father and the son eventually realizing he is the true heir to the throne. I guess Kimba was inspired by Hamlet as well.

  • @Megrez-Alberich
    @Megrez-Alberich10 сағат бұрын

    The references to Hamlet only came pretty late during production of The Lion King, after many rewrites of the story. As for Jungle Emperor, until an official retcon made in 2000, Bubu the mean black lion was not related to Leo. He was just an old rogue lion and a rival to Pandja. Besides, Pandja was killed by hunters and Bubu had nothing to do with his death. He just seized that opportunity to illegitimately proclaim himself new king of the savannah, which is why he and his henchmen tried to get rid of Leo when Leo came back to Africa to reclaim what was rightfully his.
