I’m 24 years old straight male and it’s one of my favorite shows I’m a little biased because I re-watch seasons 1-7 then episodes after where the original cast returns like Degrassi takes Hollywood or Degrassi Takes Manhattan for me it’s different I watch degrassi like I watch saved by the bell or boy meets world it’s very nostalgic show and reminds me of my childhood as I watched it on the n in real time hence the reason I can only resonate with that first class

I watched seasons 1-7 not because of the school but because that first crop of actors they had with Jimmy and Emma’s classes was gold man that’s iconic tv up there with saved by the bell and boy meets world as I got older by season 8 when the original cast left I just could never watch the show anymore I think that original TNG class bought the show to the heights of it’s popularity that’s the thing I think after season 5 and season 7 classes graduated besides a couple storylines like Emma and Spinner getting married or Degrassi Goes Hollywood I remember that I just couldn’t get into the new cast that’s just me me personally I’m biased cause I grew up on the show watching it on teennick it’s my guility pleasure idc how famous I get I love that show I watched it every week with my mom on the n reminds me of my childhood before I had bills, stress, and an entire rap game to compete with

well wtf was stopping them from ending the show? think about it, the first two shows in the franchise (DJH, DH), were 5 seasons put together. DNG still surpassed that, also just watch the end of season 9. the end of season 9 gives all the core characters decent endings that left fans satisfied. if the showrunners didn't want to end the franchise it was possible to pull a DNC and just continue the remaining characters stories in a spinoff.

I dont know, i think they could do it, especially if the characters have a connection to the school. Like paige and alex or spinner and jane. or even 1 degree of separation could work i think. You just have to give your characters interesting storylines post hs. I think thats the real problem the writers have. Paiges panic attacks or marcos gambling addiction are way more interesting than ellie having relationship problems with a whole new character.

Zoe's mom is just like Wheels' grandma, Manny's parents, Zig's parents, Snake's parents and Tim's dad when they disowned Wheels, Manny, Zig, Glen and Tim because she disowned Zoe. I could never abandon my child and/or grandchild like Wheels' grandma, Manny's parents, Zig's parents, Zoe's mom, Snake's parents and Tim's dad did. Because what if Wheels, Manny, Zig, Zoe, Glen and/or Tim turn up dead sooner or later? Then their families will be sorry. Although, it was good to see that Manny and her parents finally made up and I wish I could say the same for Wheels and his grandma, Zig and his parents, Zoe and her mom, Glen and his and Snake's parents and Tim and his dad.

There’s actually a full Shark in the Water Music Video that features VV Brown herself. While she doesn’t interact with the Degrassi cast in it. It allows it to work as a legit music video that stands on it’s own and not just a TV Promo.

This was pretty hilarious. EVERYONE knew it was cancelled by the time this video went out. You seemed to not understand the difference between "cancelled" and "ending" Yes...a show can get cancelled without the producers saying it was. Because producers don't have a say in "cancelled" You also were clearly clueless of how Netflix operates, but still acted like you know. Netflix was VERY notoriously strict for their original series and no...if Netflix wanted out (as they did) your last statement was demonstrably silly. They COULDN'T keep it going. As part of Netflix' deals with ALL their originals, they would be forbidden to move to another streamer or channel for 5 years. It is scary that people actually came to this channel thinking they were getting any more information than they could have come up with themselves in their optimism, when you had nothing.

I practically grew up with seasons 12-14 on TeenNick, and now Next Class. I remember being a child watching back to back new episodes of Every Witch Way and Degrassi on TeenNick in Summer of like 2015. And man, I thought I was sad to see Clare's generation leave, but I really, honestly, grew up with this one. And watching this gen leave has to be the worst. The only characters left that I feel remotely comfortable with are Frankie, Hunter, Lola, and Shay, because they were all in TNG.
