    This telescope is superb optically and mechanically. However I ran the price per inch test, otherwise known as the money left in my wallet test on this telescope and it failed me miserably as after looking into purchasing one my financial advisor said I would need a second mortgage to fund it. Then again also you might need a gym membership and bench weights periodically to keep in shape to be able to lift it and use it as you get older. But you can still dream of having one someday and still enjoy videos such as this one.

Then they're telling me they don't have a record of me sending anything and I finally got mad and said, It's such a scam!!! I don't know how Menards gets away with even calling it a rebate when it's an in-store credit! This fan works great inside and outside. We took it to the beach which was a nice time because we needed that extra breeze to stay cool, it was a game changer in that 90 plus degree weather. This is a great travel fan. We take it everywhere we go because you never know when you need a fan. We have two fans with two extra batteries always ready to go. These are a must have. Never had such awful internet in my life until I used spectrum. It feels like every week the internet just goes down. However now takes the cakes. We leave to visit family for a day and we come back the next day and (long story short) we find out the router managed to brick itself somehow while we were gone. Took 3 days for them to send someone to come fix it. The worst part is is that there isn’t even a different provider we can go to. It’s like they have a monopoly here.

    I live in an apartment over 600 units where the owners have just signed an agreement with Spectrum for bulk internet and TV. The cost is $80 per month, where the download speed is approx 100 GiG, and the upload is about 27. The service is a combination of fiber into the building and coax (cable) to your apartment on a shared bandwidth. Right now I have AT&T fiber for $60 per month true fiber all the way to the router. I currently have 500 Gigs up and down (symmetrical). I can also increased to 1 gig symmetrical for $70. I don't watch much TV outside of Netflix and Prime. The owners are telling me that if I renew the lease, Spectrum charges will be automatically added to my monthly rent. So I can either keep AT&T Fiber which is superior and pay for 2 services or be force to cancel AT&T so I only pay for one service. The owners even tried to charge me for 2.5 months of Spectrum ahead of the new lease that I had to argue for 6 weeks and threaten legal action for them to remove the charges. I am dreading the upcoming lease and looking to move just to avoid the horror stories of some tenants that are already using Spectrum's horrible service. Since it's bill through the rent portal even if there's an outage you are forced to pay the entire amount. The FCC needs to close the loop hole and make bulk internet illegal. The purpose of deregulation was to even the playing field with fair competition and give customers the option to choose whichever provider offers the best value. Some people don't require fiber or TV service and still have to pay for this garbage.

  • @starastronomer
    @starastronomer15 күн бұрын

    @aaroneaston8899 That's just wrong! Never knew they could do that. Wonder if the owners are getting a kickback. Say free cable and internet and all the extras for free for signing up that many customers. Smells fishy to me...... SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT!!! The FCC isn't out for the customer that is for sure.

  • @aaroneaston8899
    @aaroneaston889915 күн бұрын

    @starastronomer The owners are absolutely getting a kickback in exchange for providing Spectrum with hostage customers the owners are sharing in the profits on the monthly service. I'm not sure what the profit split is, but I have confirmed this is a fact. For now, it is legal until the FCC closes this loop hole or someone files a major lawsuit to get the law changed. It's totally undermines deregulation.

    Great video and nice research. Unfortunately, the Volt battery packs were a terrible design. Picture 96 flat pouch cells with cooling plates between each one. Each cooling plate has 2 o-ring gaskets, so 192 o-rings all sandwiched together waiting for one of them to leak. Dealers don't fix batteries, they just replace the whole thing. With the early models, they didn't think about putting moisture detection in and relied on the high voltage isolation detection circuit to detect a problem. Unfortunately, the corrosion is so bad at that point, the pack is junk. If this person lived in a CARB state, it would have been still covered under warranty. My 64kWh battery pack in my Bolt is $12k with a simple cooling loop in the bottom vs the Volt's 16kWh battery (1/4 the capacity) with all its over-engineered nonsense. We also have a Honda, great vehicle. We need two vehicles, so making one of then an EV and charging from the sun was little risk for us.

    I go on Ebay and buy new old stock Craftsman that is USA made (USA steel). Honestly, I have some PRC made Craftsman sockets for my 3/8" drive, and they work fine. But I just feel better about having made in the USA on my tools. Although, it's hard to justify spending $11 for a G2 (one of the made in USA date codes) socket verses a couple of bucks for PRC made Craftsman. Armstrong still makes tools in the USA, but they are like crazy expensive. Snap On used to be a brand to trust, but they are currently making some stuff in the PRC (and are dang sneaky about their labeling too). For me, I rank: Tier one: Made in USA A close second Tier two: German, English, Japanese, Swiss, Canada Somewhat distant gap Tier three: Taiwan, Vietnam, India (although some Indian made tools are dang good - especially some surgical tools) Another big gap Tier four: PRC, other European countries Bottom rung: other countries without a history of decent steel production. Some countries can have outstanding expertise in other area, for example Chile in mining, or South Africa in cell phone RF tech, but they just don't have the quality manufacturing reputation of tooling.

    I don't ever shop in that place. If i lived in the middle of nowhere I would drive 50 miles to another store. My nephew was shopping there with his son and the people asked for his receipt on the way out which he refused then the guy abruptly grabbed the cart his kid was pushing. Nephew felt his kid was assaulted and an altercation of some kind occurred. The store called police and nephew was arrested. It was during the pandemic and later charges were dropped. I don't feel that they are a high class store. I have found competitive prices on items I buy elsewhere.
