Nice grip. I have the Canon E-21 power grip and the AA battery holder is included. Also the power grip holds 2 regular Canon batteries. I can use the camera with one battery in the grip. I don't need a higher frame rate though. Higher frame rate may be dependent on a particular cameras onboard buffer and what SD card is used. I was thinking having extra power for a long duration photo shoot so bought the power grip. I don't need vertical shooting either. I have since put the power grip into the storage cupboard as field testing my camera with a single battery without the grip lasted over 10 hours and still had 25% charge with my use and conditions, this number would likely be different (less) for others. Also the grip is too heavy and bulky when handling to me personally. I'll keep it around, might find a use for it eventually.
