I use this in my cover band. One guitarist and I, have the Drop, the other guitarist has a Whammy DT. We go back and forth between standard and 1/2 step down. I tried making the setlists tuner friendly, before we used the Drops, but our singers eventually wanted to create the setlists how they wanted...ignoring any tuning changes. Yes, as the player, the latency is noticeable, as a crowd person listening, there's no noticeable difference. It's a tremendous help. We play 1 or 2 songs that we'll drop a full step. The pedal still handles that well enough. I don't think I'd use for anything lower than that, other than having fun. It does help to have tight string tension, so possibly using heavier strings can help. I do recommend the pedal for situations like mine. If you're looking for a more permanent detuned situation, set up another instrument. I have not tried any other drop type pedals, but if a better one comes along, I'm open to giving it a try.

11:21 please describe what is boutique sound? What it is? About the bass it's the first run and are notorious for have a terrible fret job.. are you being paid to do this?
@MichaelSchmittElevenАй бұрын
This is the second series, and as you can see in the close ups, the fret job on the basses in this video is superbly done. For me personally, a boutique J Bass has all the genes of a traditional J, but with added high end sparkle and a very tight and pronounced lower mids frequency response. I don't get any money for my videos, and I bought the one with the Morado fret board with my own money. Thx for watching and commenting!
