Flame is free for students 😍(THX Autodesk!) Have tried Arnold render for C4D A LOT and have seen on 3DS Max a little! but Flame only on mac's sucks for me as a Windows user. But it see's very simular with a lot of programs

Funny idea and nice video :) But it is like taking After Effects and complaining why it exists and cost same amount as Premiere, when editing video and pulling simple key is easier in Premiere. Because Premiere is an NLE - non linear editing software and because you are familiar with process of pulling a key in Premiere. After Effects main purpose is not be a video editing application and purpose of its keying tools is not to be simple to use for video editors. It is a motion design and compositing application. The same applies to Flame, but even in bigger scale, because Flame isn't marketed for masses and motion designers. It is a specialized VFX tool with rich history in this field. Its timeline and editing suit is meant to be used for conforming existing edit from other application and simple VFX editorial. Flame has been used for interactive VFX work with director behind artist's back. Lots of time on bigger commercials. In the past it was running on Linux, and it was sold with dedicated hardware, to guarantee designated performance, if I remember correctly. That is probably why it was ported to Mac, but not to Windows. Mac OS is based on Darvin -> Free BSD -> UNIX. Linux is inspired from UNIX too ;) Nowadays, it is preferred tool by few VFX houses focused on Face works - aging, de-aging, face swaps, etc. Flame has few great toolsets and quite unique interface allowing work quickly if you know what you are doing. That's why video editing tools were looking not very good and VFX tools were absolutely unusable for you :) Respect for trying and your conclusion at the end :)

If you aren‘t able to key out a greenscreen even with your previous video editing experience and all the tutorials and docs available, then the software, at least from an AI perspective is actually pretty terrible… That’s what I love about Blender and their recent UI initiative driven amongst others by Pablo Vazquez. A intuitive and fast UI is sometimes even more important than feature-completeness. Blender is doing it right and it‘s showing already 👍
