    Hello. I did end up getting the kit from Ben's appliance. Unfortunately I may have over torqued the scanner but to the threaded part. I noticed recently our washer not spinning properly again. I took it apart and found the parts threaded part, at the beveled section, had broken to pieces. I ended up ordering a genuine replacement and temporarily installed the plastic set up.

    What kind of tow bar did you use?

  • @junkyyarddawg
    @junkyyarddawg27 күн бұрын

    I used a kinetic tow rope to pull it about 1000 feet. It was an emergency as we were blocking an entrance ramp and a lane of the highway on the bridge overlooking the Red River on 20. There was a driver in the bus holding the brakes which made it harder to pull as she was afraid the bus would roll backwards then into my truck afterwards.

    That is not a sundowner edition. The 1982 to 85 Sundowners came standard with a long bed with 10 tie downs, wall to wall carpet amongst some other things. I know the 77 to 81 models came with that same long bed with 10 tie downs, wall to wall carpet, a 5 speed manual, foe wood above the door cards, and spoke style hub caps. Than the top package was the sundowner sport, which came standard with bucket seats, a center console with a clock and outback desert themed graphics on the outside of the truck as well as everything else being standard equipment as well.

    I'm trying to pull mine right now. I don't have the inflatable bag but I've got the next best thing. A 12ga shot gun. About to blast holes in this mf'er. I'm hot as hell right now. Thanks maytag. I find comfort in the fact that others much more patient than myself have nevagated around this issue. I put a rope 2x4 up top and a ton and half hoist across it and got nothing. Great design, 10 out of 10.

    Hello. Sorry about that. There's really no tools required. You pull up on the cover for the shifter on the console. The cable end and bushing is popped off and on, almost like a hip and socked. Once the bushing is pressed on the cable end and installed on the socket, simply press on the console/shifter cover.

    Interesting. What about the grill? I'm heading back tomorrow and taking a closer look at the engine. They say it's a 352 but I'm starting to think it's a 390 at the very least. From what I read there were no 352 4 barrel engines made in 65 and 66. If it's a 390 or bigger, I am going to buy it, Well, even if it's an older 352 I'll take it. They were rated for good horsepower with a 4 barrel.
