    In the summer of 1980, at age of 17, I raced my 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner at Great Lakes, and my buddy Brad raced his 1969 440 Dodge SuperBee. We ran low 13's mostly, both of us had 4 speed cars, it was more fun than serious. Broadway Bob was a riot, always had a beer in his hand. Brought us free Pepsi's in the pit when it was about 110 degrees one Saturday in July. Thanks for the memories, Rock on Broadway Bob, RIP

    Here's the things you are missing. This isn't a sports car and it isn't meant to be driven by somebody horsing around thinking he's a race car driver. This car does EVERYTHING WELL for driving on the public roads by people who have no desire to get into an accident or injure anyone by being stupid. Racing is done on racetracks. If you want to go racing, buy a race car and go as fast as you like. As for "Aston-Martin", that's an insult to this car. Owning an LC500 is all about making it past the repair shop and driving trouble free for a very long time. Those "other" cars may be faster, but you will pay big bucks because they are unreliable. So, why not be a grown up and discuss the facts that I've laid out? As for the trackpad, only dunderheads who haven't read the OWNER'S MANUAL complain about them because those of us who have read the OWNER'S MANUAL use VOICE COMMAND. In my almost five years of owning my InfraRed/Toasted Caramel 2018, I've used the trackpad at most ten times. Why would you even want to use it when talking is so much easier...AND SAFER? If I want to warm my seat I press a button and say "SHOW THE FRONT SEAT HEATER SCREEN". No muss. No fuss. I can call my wife, text a client, find a pizza joint I Iike, get directions to anywhere, change the radio station, listen to any song by any artist, make the car warmer or cooler and so much more...all without taking my eyes off the road. But then again, I read the OWNER'S MANUAL like an adult. The LC 500 is the closest thing to a PERFECT CAR for the public roads in production today. For idiot wannabe race car drivers who don't give a crap if they lose control and crash into some family of four going to visit grandma, there are faster cars. I would hope your next review is a bit more professional than this one. Read the OWNER'S MANUAL and tell your audience about the unique features of the car because only kids are interested in how many milliseconds it takes to shift from third to fourth gear. The LC 500 is loaded with more performance than anyone needs and it will never leave you stranded in the rain at 2 a.m. by the side of the road because some cheaply made electronic relay broke. It is without a doubt the finest GT car in production today.

    I have owed this car and let me tell you something about the awc…. I took this car thru the worst snowstorm here in Washington state within the last 5 years , and this car proved itself as a serious contender in the snow . I was plowing snow with the front bumper and never once did I even worry about getting stuck . The all wheel lock setting allowed Me to traverse through the worst of conditions. I have also owned a Subaru and a Audi both with awd and the lancer proved that it was worthy to be talked about in the same sense as it’s more expensive, more proven counterparts

    I really appreciate you being objective on this review. I'm finalizing a deal on one of these with only 21,000 miles, so it's nice to know what I'm getting into. I'm coming off of a 2010 Ford Escape 4 banger, so this should be an upgrade in almost every way. I'll pay attention to the handling as you've pointed out. Even though the handling might not be optimized or ideal, I feel it will be better than my Escape.

Mr. Espresso needs to realize that car enthusiasts don’t care about the crap he complained about.🤨 He’s obviously not a classic muscle car fan. If he is, he is certainly not making any of us proud!🤨

    It's still a good city car esp. in heavy congestions. Probably not recommended for long trips. At idle, you'll simply waste a lot of fuel in ANY ICEs! You can't say the same for EVs. I use my MG ZS EVs for multiple short trips even on short highway trips, only to find out that EVs are actually very good for short commutes with short to mid trips on motorways.

    This can tow 3,500 pounds and the 0-60 time is 8.2 seconds which is 0.5 seconds slower than the Chrysler/Dodge minivans. Those get 283 horsepower while this gets 276 horsepower.

    I am thinking of getting an xB. In my research of this car I have read there is an oil consumption problem with many of these. Have you experienced any low oil problems with yours?

  • @oreally8605
    @oreally86059 ай бұрын

    @@Dano-MX5Sorry for the late reply. The oil consumption issues were from 2008-2011 from 2012-2015 they were fine. Toyota had a recall for the 08-11 but it's an older car now. Toyota America may or may not fix the issue. The piston rings were made too small so it seeped oil every 1000 miles. Most people just add a quart of oil every 1000 miles if you want to put up with it. I'd say get a 2012 and up, and check ✔️ the Vin to be double sure.

    The Lounge model is a better choice. The glass roof is awesome. And the headlights have the automatic option. The wheels on the Lounge option are sportier. I have placed the driving mode in sport and have driven the car like I stole it. I find that it accelerates easily. I am at 190k on mine and I have replaced coil packs and brakes(rotors and pads). I also installed led headlight bulbs. The led light are less expensive than the conventional filament light bulbs and they last for a lengthy period of time. My tire choice are the Good Year Assurance tires. I typically get two winters out of them. Just keep in mind that I am averaging 38k per year, so I prefer to use an 80k tire. The interior just makes sense. My seats have the lumbar support. I have driven from Pennsylvania to Florida without feeling driver fatigue.
