You are so right on that it's not quite an investment, great video!
I’m pretty jealous of your Kelly Lakis offer, do you know if they still produce it
Can’t wait for the mini garden party to be released! I love the *esluxy* clutch too!
I have the *esluxy* , Bastia, and Kelly pockets like you, and I agree that the buttons on the Kelly pockets are too prominent. I like the Bastia and Calvi for being relatively flat and not "cramped"!
Hi there. Amazing video and tbh both the WOC’s are sooo nice. Can you give me the details please of where you bought your *esluxy* ? Many thanks.
Timing is everything as they say. Really interesting!
I’m new to the luxury bag and slg market but I have experience with purchasing fine watches, jewelry, collectibles, etc and what I have found it’s only worth what someone is willing to purchase the item especially if I’m selling by myself! I have purchased Louis Vuitton items directly from the LV store and I started to look at other brands through the pre loved market and at this point the only Hermes item I want is Epsome Kelly Longue wallet (that you introduced me to in one of your previous videos) and my luxury pre loved sellers are currently in Japan looking for specific items for their customers in addition to other items!
Thanks for the video. I always enjoyed hearing you talk about your Hermes Bags and the one you sold!
Thank you for the video! Personally, I could never buy anything with the intention of selling and making a profit. Just enjoying what I have and love is the biggest profit as far as I am concerned regardless of what it is. It could be a bag, jewelry or car or whatever. That's just me.
Hey GPS, I wanted to ask you if you can provide me with your review of Bolide skate 31 bag in your next video. Is this the collectable item ? Worth the price ? Does it hold its value on resell market ?
Stay away from anything that's heavily pushed by Media. I look for Indie Brands that aren't well known, who have clean ingredients with a price point that doesn't rob the wallet. Also avoid all influencers, as their biased reviews are not truthful.
I love your style
You are right, those bags might be useful when you are in financial trouble, but no way as investment.
Definitely an investment in your closet and your ability to use something for a long time is different from the financial investment that grows. Having a luxury lifestyle definitely means just enjoying what you buy, not being strategic on making money from handbags:)
My friend scored a Kelly 28 in Togo in Paris. She still believes that it’s worth more than she paid. Unfortunately with the removal of the stickers and first use there went her profits. I’m sending her this video.
Thank you ! It’s exactly what I thought. I’m keeping my bags knowing very well that making profits on them would be minimal since they are all used and I would never try to sell them by myself. Moral of the story, buy them because you love them, invest in something else really !
I agree with you as well.
Luxury bags are overpriced , you have to be stupid to pay that amount for bag. nowadays no one can distinguish a original from a *esluxy* so whats the point overpaying for the same product ?
I'd rather get the *esluxy* for $500 us and put $4,500 us in my bank account.
I agree that buying furniture, does accelerate your chances of getting ones dream bags or rare bags. When my cousin was building her house she bought a couple of Hermes sofas and armchairs in the Sellier collection, a set of 12 dining room chairs, a dining table, and full collections of their crockery and china sets. She was offered a pink picto kelly doll, black birkin crocodile touch, and a birkin picnic 25 within a space of 18 months
I got my black Togo Birkin 40 for $13,300 before tax in 2020
Thank you for making this video, it was very informative! It is indeed more complex than many people, including myself, may assume.
Hahaha I love that sign in the background, and that pretty candle holder - curious what you were burning (is my 'candle addict' showing lol?!) Such a helpful video, I'm awful at knowing the differences and go thrifting a lot, so I'm always nervous to pick up *esluxy* , jackets, so many others things - ugh! You are always so knowledgeable about these luxury brands. You can definitely notice the high quality stitching.
Im Brazilian, living in São Paulo, even though we are the richest city and country os south and Central America, Hermes always sells below retail in the pre loved market. I just buy things because I love cause otherwise, I never made a penny out a Hermes bag...Greetings from Brazil BTW 🇧🇷
Interesting.. even a brand new b & k?
I agree that the price hikes make no sense. They are actually making the consumer pay more for the same item. Luxury brands do this thinking they are creating "exclusivity" and honestly I think it is an insult to loyal consumers who would rather buy a replica bag on *esluxy* that is priced lower and of comparable quality.
Hmm I think it's good for people who want a taste of designer that can't afford the designer prices. LV, Gucci etc aren't gonna be short of a penny & it's not like they're missing out in the way that it's snatching custom as the people buying those products if taken away aren't necessarily gonna go buy the designer ones. I'm actually going to go have a look at that *esluxy* now myself.
OMG I need that Vest it is SO ME, except I would get medium /dark brown, I would love to know where to find that. Also, I think you are Dutch, love that detail!
Great video ❤
My mom bought an LV from *esluxy* and she loves it. It’s been there for over 10 years when she went out.
Wow, this is a wonderful episode! Loved learning so much about the Hermes crafting of these bags. Great work on this!
I’ve enjoyed watching your videos but I think they could be greatly improved by being more concise. You are extremely repetitive, which makes your videos a bit tiresome and boring. You take many minutes to say something that could be said in several seconds. I don’t think I can watch anymore.
I’m loving your videos and am learning so much from you about Hermes. I agree with everything you say not to buy. I’ve never liked the look or thin soles of the Oran. But I do love the look and feel of the Chypre. I bought a pair of black Chypres a few months ago and am loving them. They’re really comfortable and look good with everything. I’m waiting for a pair of white ones to come in in my size.
FYI, the serpenti viper bracelet is not solid gold. The inside is titanium to give it its flexibility.
thank you for this video. That sweater looks good on you. I love globes but sadly won’t be buying one from Hermes…
They're truly like a masterpiece, but the price is just ludicrous 👀
Hi
Hey g what is the version of the birkin with the birkin looking insert on the inside I’ve seen someone unbox it but I would love one for myself
The summer pink suits your complexion. ❤
Aww thank you 🩵
Is your favorite insert for Hermes bags the 7RP brand? Do you have a discount code I can use?
Yes, they are. You can use - SECRETGPS 🩵
Thank you ❤
Love this video and the details! New to Hermes so this is all great information. First time in store and was able to purchase my first Hermes evelyne 16. For me, I need an everyday bag so this is perfect.
I have bought shorts from alo and lululemon. I don’t know what it is but for alo I didn’t feel the quality and they look really cheap to me and made my groin area bulge due to how close the front part is to my legs. For lululemon I feel they are better quality and look better. I’d also recommend trying out Vouri shorts they are really nice.
What dress trousers you wearing?
Grt
Hi G, I have the quatre large ring but the brown PVD is fading. Do you know if Boucheron redoes this coating? Did yours show any wear on the brown PVD? Thanks for the tip because I bought it after I saw yours!
I miss you very much. I can't believe it's been two years already. Your video is incredible, and I really appreciate your level of detail and effort *hotdups*
being lucky, i think, as an owner of B/K and purchasing from H what I like/need.
As the way it should be 🩵
Honestly your videos are just amazing!!! The amount of information and knowledge is great!! I feel more educated about H with each videos and that gives me confidence to go into the store and start a conversation about the brand 😬😬 Thanks❤❤
Aww that's made my day 🩵
Does the P.S in your KZread user name stand for personal shopper
No, G.P.S. are my initials 🩵
@@IamGPS thank for your reply been enjoying many of your videos
I notice the clasp with the turn lock on your Kelly bracelet you have on is facing down and not on the top of your wrist. Does it ever stay on top of your wrist or does it always flip around? Love your videos!
It wouldn't turn around on its own, I choose to wear it this way on purpose 🩵
@@IamGPS Thanks for letting me know. I have tiny wrists and everything turns around on me which drives me crazy. I really love the bracelet so I’m going to try to get one while my husband and I are in Paris right after Christmas. Enjoy your weekend.
Your top is insane!!!
Aww thank you 🩵
I have been using the LV Key Pouch for over 20 years now. Bought it together with a purse which got replaced after a few years but the Key Pouch is still in great condition only the gold color plating on the metal parts is completely gone
I really like the plush horse for some reason. It has those big hooves. If I had the cash I’d get it
I guess we won't be fighting over it 🩵
Isn't everything at Hermes extremely overpriced for what they are? 😅 After a while, one could just get deluded of the whole pre spend game.
Everything they do is ridiculously expensive, but I do think certain items are worth the money if you appreciate the aesthetic and craftsmanship 🩵
rec'd my first hermes scarf in 1990's from my grandmother, hooked ever since - it depends on one's SA and the relationship one has with SA (most important imo) + stay with one store + better outside of cities in US, having knowledge of brand helps too for bags, people don't understand that even bags like picos are not readily available in one's perfect color, patience important + do not buy anything that you don't love
Great summary 🩵
Also it is much more likely to get a bag in the first part of the month, because they have monthly quotas for selling that they can't go over, except very very rarely.. but basically never... even if they have bags, if they meet their quotas, then they are done, so if your boutique is busy, they won't be able to sell any quota bags at the end of the month. I've had to wait till the beginning of a month before for the call to come and get it for a birkin i wanted. This is in the boutique i shop regularly in... which is very very busy and competitive.
They're just like any other business after all 🩵
I agree with you about the watches... definitely not for me... but my SA actually told me that buying a watch is an instant Birkin or Kelly... so there you go... at least at that boutique.
Fascinating, thank you for sharing 🩵
@IamGPS i do want to add, though... not any watch... the watch should be gold, diamond, something to at least equal the price of the bag... or more... but they don't tell people that... they just lead you where you want to go and look... but in my boutique, apparently buying a watch is a jackpot 😁
If you had to choose between mini kelly and kelly 25.. what would you go for? I wear both sizes but the decision is hard both are amazing combos
I prefer the look of the Kelly 25, but the Mini Kelly isn't supposed to be around forever. If you know you'd like a Mini Kelly one day, I'd start with that 🩵
Thank you for the video! I love the globe, but not enough to even consider paying for it!
I feel you 🩵
