I agree 100%. As a watch person, I feel Hermes has to build their reputation as a watch maker before charging those types of prices for their watches.

I am a watch person too but I think the Cut is actually pretty nice. I wish they had put a date window on it, since the dial has so much room. The price is a bit much but I managed to get a Cap Cod automatic for $3,600 a couple of years ago. That was a good price for an automatic with in-house movement.

One item I think luxury lovers overlook (I've never heard anyone mention them on lux youtube) are the beautiful range of Hermes scarf rings, they are such classics. As a scarf and twilly wearer and lover, I think Hermes scarf rings are functional, elegant accessories . They add versatility and easy elegance to any wardrobe.

Hey G, loved the video, thanks for the info, didnt know about the calvi duo. Also love your sweater! Thanks for sharing the link. For the new watches from H, I agree with you, it does look a bit "bland" but I think it's worth mentioning that you can switch out the straps. They have a mechanism that switches out the straps easier not like the heure H or cape cod where we need a tool. This one is quite quick and I think it's great how you can switch from rubber straps to stainless steel depending on what you need. It's like getting several watches for the price of 1. But I'm far from an expert on watches, I just think it's cool to be able to change the look of your watch. ☺️

You couldn't go wrong with any one of the styles you mentioned but the Oz and Colette would absolutely be my top choice..especially if you're able to track down the Oz in a special finish 🤍

I actually like the simplicity of The Cut but not a watch person. I’d rather spend my money on their FJ since I do enjoy wearing their FJ pieces. The new design on the calvi duo looks cute but I’ll stick with the plain version. I’m still waiting on a green calvi duo. It’ll be a long wait since my boutique tends to get more neutral colors than a pop of color.
