Connor- Henson and Danielle's oldest
Haidyn- Henson and Danielle's middle
Brooks- Henson and Danielle's youngest

Buckskins are gorgeous
Spring in Mt!
While he was loose he wasn't thinking about the hay but now you're gonna tie him back up he wants to eat hay😅.
Danielle, you have mad skills with the drone & videography. All that self taught talent AND you are a real horsewoman . Dont get a big head - or your hat wont fit. Love watching you all & learning !
Haha, thank you very much 🙏🏼 I think we all down play our talents and abilities, so to be reassured by your words is very welcomed and even needed at times. Thank you for taking the time to comment 💪🏼
I quit seeing videos with women handling horses and I feel much better
👌🏼
Some women (not all!) can be dramatic and over controlling so I totally get it 😁
What State is it ❓💕👍 You’re awesome horse people, love it ♥️💕💙💕💙💕♥️
Arizona
Henson needs a beard like Jerry 😂
No way!
But the mares w the babies is it fair that the stud’s get ahold of them again? And have babies back to back? Don’t they need to rest up before they have another baby😢
Why are you breeding with a sway backed stud.
Why are you riding a two year old already?!😮
Because that’s what we do
What happened to the German shepherd? I must have missed something.

Love love love Monster...hes my boy❤
How many acres do you have I live in California state and would love to see your horses that your selling when iam ready thank you for the great videos love them so much
That’s a question many ranchers won’t answer. Best place to see the horses is on Facebook- Painted Desert Ranch or Jerry Winn
Any studs retired???
We had 11. So 4 have retired
@@PaintedDesertRanch which boys?
Texas, Dash, Salty, & Tru Blue
Love that chestnut baby with white legs
Those two white mares are gorgeous
Have missed you guys.... Wow the scenery is beautiful... Music too..... Drone footage love it
I’m interested in one of your horses how I can’t look the horses, I live in California
Facebook is the best place. Look up Painted Desert Ranch or Jerry Winn. You can also text 928-814-0320
Music is WAY too loud, too repetitive. Can’t watch with anyone asleep nearby. And get the dog outta there!
🤭🤭🤭 Love it! Thanks 👌🏼
Damn that black horse with the mustache (I missed his name...) he is just gorgeous and so elegant! I love that he was so gentle and kind that gave those stomps entering the trailer like "I am gentle and powerful" like it was almost deliberate how he stomped and his other steps were damn near silent. Like he agreed with the 'he's a wild beast' with just pure grace. Wow
We call him Monster. His registered name is Poco Driftn Winn
Oh such a handsome boy! I’m gonna ask for the Czar-doo when I get my hair colored 😂
Why does Jasper always ride a pony instead of a bigger horse?
He likes to train the ponies.
@@PaintedDesertRanch Ohhhhh, thanks for replying so quick. I wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos cause I can't ride anymore with my back trouble. I feel like I'm riding again, herding cows and training horses. Thank you so much for taking all of us along!❤❤
I think its time yall retire that sway back palomino and replace him with one of his better built sons.
Thanks Milly 👌🏼
She's adorable! I've seen more recent videos with baby but I still haven't heard what you named her. Dibs is such a great girl for you!
No name yet
@@PaintedDesertRanch Maybe her name starts with E? her dad is C mom is D (Dibs is a brilliant name!)
That is absolutely one of the most beautiful, amazing things KZread has randomly thrown into my feed. Those horses are happy, happy, happy. I may be contacting you guys sometime this year or next as we get ready for me to get a horse. It has been awhile, I am now 59. We live in New Mexico and when this video started I thought you guys were somewhere between Clines Corner, Vaughn or Duran. 😂 my husband's company has a 9000 acre ranch with empty equestrian facilities that I can use at my leisure, plus, my horse will be kept in our acre backyard. Loads of riding. Need me a good quarter horse or ranch horse to traverse sandy hills where I live and the Manzanita mountains where I will spend a lot of time riding, too. I simply cannot wait!
Sounds like a dream 👍🏼
Asking an ignorant question… how do you choose the mares for each stallion?
Not ignorant at all. Overall, we breed for a horse with a good mind. After that we try to make an agile horse that can do any discipline- from trail riding to performance. Color is another thing we breed for…. We always say , breeding is a cowboy/horseman’s art. A buyer can tell us what they’re looking for and we can tell them which cross will best suit them. We know our studs and we know our mares- that helps us to determine what mares go with what stud. Thanks for the question.
@@PaintedDesertRanch thank you explaining this. I have always loved horses but never was able to own but a couple before I had to give it up due to family issues. Thank you for your KZread channel and videos. I really enjoy living vicariously through your videos.
❤ This is the third time I've watched this video. Amazing the footage, is Beautiful
Wow, thank you!
You turned them loose on mares with very young foals? Like, not ready to be weaned foals? Help me understand. How old are your foals when you wean them? Do you sell your horses at auctions or what?
Yes, young foals. They get weaned at 5-6 months. They are all sold private sale.
Love what yall do! If you guys need a ranch hand, I’d be the one to sign up lol!
Henson...i just love your commentary 😂
In Cree you say tansi for hello
Some good looking foal's.....I do not agree with this method of ranching..... I prefer a more controlled environment for my herds ....Free range on very little quality grassland with harsh weather conditions.....With open range you still need to drop off alfalfa squares, or orchard Grass rounds.....I do believe in turning studs out with a small herd of mares......
👌🏼
How many acres do you have?
Enough for the livestock
Pretty Foal Get well soon
Happy Memorial Day Trigger is Enjoying MEMORIAL DAY
When turning these studs out with the mares will the studs try to hurt foals at mares sides.?
Jerry answers this question in this video. Thanks 😊 NOT a typical branding day | All about the BROODMARES kzread.info/dash/bejne/pZlksdWDZbrQls4.html
Is it safe to put a stallion with mares AND foals? I had heard Stallions will kill foals. Am I wrong?
Jerry answered this question in this video. 😊 NOT a typical branding day | All about the BROODMARES kzread.info/dash/bejne/pZlksdWDZbrQls4.html
Silly question from a newish sub, what kind of horses are these and is it dangerous for the foals during breeding season?
These are all registered Quarter Horses. Watch this video for an answer to your second question: NOT a typical branding day | All about the BROODMARES kzread.info/dash/bejne/pZlksdWDZbrQls4.html
How much land do you have? It seems like a lot, it's beautiful out there. Is there fencing so they can't go by the train tracks without you guys?
Enough for the livestock. Yes there’s fencing
How long do you leave the studs with the mares? I just found your channel yesterday.
They stay with the mares for about 3 months. Stay tuned, I’m sure I’ll do a video when the time comes to take the studs out 😊
So neat to see the studs turned out with their mares and how the mares react to them.
Really like Trigger but plenty doesn't show me the Quarter Horse confirmation I like. Hope he throws better then he is.
And some don’t like Trigger at all… that’s the beauty of having a breeding program that has several studs 😎 Thanks for your input 👍🏼👍🏼
Absolutely beautiful video! The foals are just so precious! Just subscribed and looking forward to enjoying your journey! What an amazing lifestyle and thank you sharing it.
Thank you 😊
Hopefully no major injuries and 🙏 for a speedy recovery.
This is an old video- he’s good now
This is ridiculous at best! There are TOO man horses out in the world and many end up in the kill pen so why are you breeding!!! Stupid! Hope you are not allowing inbreeding to happen!!!
Thanks for the comment 👌🏼
The horses don’t have any shade?
Ranch horses are tough…. And they do have shade-trees, just not right at the corrals.
@@PaintedDesertRanch thank you.
Hello this is my first time stumbling across your video, Trigger is a handsome man!
Texas watching ❤️

Trigger is beautiful looking
At the very end was so amazing😮😢😅 how the one mare was with the other mare waiting for the foal to come through the gate 🎉🎉🎉🎉 congratulations...JOB WELL DONE 🎉🎉🎉❤🏇 🏇 🏇 🏇 🏇 🏇 🏇 🏇 Amazing how the newborns can keep up with their mommas!!❤ HAPPY TRAILS ❤🏇
