    Okay Shelly I’m back! This recipe was too flavorful to be healthy lol! Omg I loved it and so did my 2 yo. Now I have extra - how long can I store it in the fridge? Also can this be used on top of chicken or as stuffing? For example, I’m thinking a suvstiyise as some stuffed chicken breast with spinach? Add on after baking the chicken of course?

    Hey, hey, hey! I love this! Glad you and the little in enjoyed it. That’s the whole point, healthy should taste 🤩 amazing! It stores for up to 3 days. Since it’s a fresh vegetable it has a shorter life cycle. The way I think about it is once cut veggies live for a short time outside our bodies but they live a longer time inside our bodies - their whole purpose is to nourish and transform us inside! You can also place it inside chicken after it’s cooked, that would be a great use! Definitely don’t cook it inside or it will be mushy and weird. Enjoy😊

    Interesting enough, the woman who led the Ayahuasca retreat I attended is Buddhist. However I would caution to try to take a reductionist stance on the Aya experience - as it’s wider, deeper, wiser and older than any religion. Ayahuasca is a consciousness rooted deep in the wisdom of the Earth and Life. Give yourself an opportunity to experience it. I find it transcends religious teachings and really connects folks to the Oneness of it all.

    Ok, finally got all the ingredients except I don’t have the Quickstart agar. It wasn’t until later when I looked at the book that I realized for my agar I had to cook it a little bit before I added the rest of the ingredients. That’s OK, we’re going to have fish tonight. I have to be dairy free, so the sauce really is handy. It will make a terrific cheese sauce over our fish tonight, though. you’re right, the lactic acid and the miso paste really changed things. Good taste. Update: the teeth solidified when it cooled down!

    I watched your video and my question is why are you so obsessed with you being black? You’re obsessed with your race so much you put “why blk people should drink ayahuasca” clearly excluding white people, asian people, Mexicans, etc Implying that they should not take ayahuasca, Also in the “blk people and Christianity and ayahuasca” part you never even mentioned blk people, Race/ethnicity don’t matter.

  • @TheMindfulPlate
    @TheMindfulPlate22 күн бұрын

    Good day! It seems your awareness is already 50% of the solution. I make these videos because a great deal of people (especially women) turn to food to “solve their problems”. Except it never works. It just provides temporary relief and as soon as that last bite is done, you’re now left with 2 problems : the original problem you started with + an overfull belly. The real solution is to release the root of the problem rather than stuff it down. I offer coaching and mindful eating guidance and education over at The Mindful Nutrition School. We meet weekly and participants learn how to stop eating their emotions and actually feel their emotions and get to the root of their problems. You can join us here mindful-nutrition-school.mykajabi.com/signup

    So is the dieta free from protein? Have you been shown not to eat meat post Aya or does the compassion relates to meat eaters?

  • @TheMindfulPlate
    @TheMindfulPlateАй бұрын

    Great question! Dietas that ask you not to eat meat beforehand is about not ingesting spiritual harm and chemicals that meat is filled with in the industrialized West because of the factory farming and killing and also the use of chemicals that transfer to your body. In the indigenous communities where Ayahuasca is native, this is not a requirement as their meat is wild and uncontaminated. I’ve known some folks to eat chicken and fish while in ceremony because that source in the wild is pure. However I also want to be clear that the Dieta is not free of protein - there are non meat sources of protein like beans, legumes, greens, nuts and seeds that contain plenty to keep an adult healthy and balanced. Meat is not the only source of protein. Your unique experience will guide you on how to eat post Aya ceremony. Once the medicine is inside you, it will show you and transform your taste buds to guide you on what you need to eliminate, reduce and add to/from your diet.

    Hello Love 💜 This is my first video of your's.... Praying your Fibroids are all gone. 🙏🏾🙏🏾 Can you update me on it please? How is your recipes now? Still staying away from all soy? I'd love to know more. 💜

  • @TheMindfulPlate
    @TheMindfulPlateАй бұрын

    Hey! Welcome to the channel. I’m definitely still eating this way and remain soy free. I can instantly tell if I’ve mistakenly eaten something with soy because I’ll feel it in my womb. I’ve seen progress with shrinkage and I am asymptomatic which is a huge relief. No challenging cycles. Interestingly I’ve learned to listen to them rather than rebuke them. They are a source of pain for some however they can also be a source of healing. I’ll be doing a video later this year about managing life with fibroids and healing from the inside out. Are you currently experiencing fibroids?

    Processed sugar isn't part of ANYBODY's ancestral diet

  • @TheMindfulPlate
    @TheMindfulPlateАй бұрын

    Agreed! However it is part of the European cultural diet where the British ensured that their appetite for processed sugar would continue through supporting and sustaining sugar plantations during the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade also referred to as the African Holocaust. This is why I advocate for Decolonizing ones Diet and understanding the historical background of how certain foods became common place.
