Thank you so much for the 5 hacks to get rid of bad habits. The fifth one was a game changer for me. I use to be an emotional eater as well but I have been struggling with this for decades but I needed a mind reset all this time and this is exactly what I needed. Thank you and God bless you. I just became a subscriber. Lea

You made such an interesting video! I agree with so much about the neural rewiring around food. That can be done in many ways. I had to learn to start re-appreciating food after a really long bout of anorexia and orthorexia (wanting to either not eat or to eat only foods deemed supremely healthy...) So my rewiring is different than yours. But we had different needs, different pathways. I do sympathise with the craving a lot of sugary foods though. When I was at the height of my orthorexia I kept craving foods I thought were SUPER BAD... so i had to teach myself balance. Swearing off sugar 100% doesn't work for me, it creates a very very obsessive and controlling mindset and I just go off the deep end into orthorexia-land :p So my rewiring has been: ALLOW small pleasures, like a little macaron or a dessert on the weekends. GAME CHANGER. Again, everyone is different. And I just wanted to write you to say that I agree with so much of your content (i am plant based myself :)) Thanks for your lovely channel!

Yes! I love the idea of associating food with consequences, rather than calling it "good" or "bad." Thank you!

This is a wake up call for me on sugar. Sugar = diabetes= amputation. Sugar= brain fog! I need to take that detox course.

Yes, that's the compound effect equation. However keep in mind that if you had a cookie once every 3 months, it's a little different. I'm talking about when sweets or sugar become a daily habit....down the line, it leads to these other effects...and sometimes it can be experienced with in the same day (like brain fog). I'd love to have you join us in the course. Are you on the email list? You can sign up at www.mindfulplate.tv I send details through the email.
Just a note, you went searching for those disturbing images (e.g. sores, diseased amputated foot, etc), your audience did not. You need to warn us before putting that on screen. Completely turned my stomach....helpful tips all the same.

Noted, can definitely share a warning that disturbing images are coming. And additionally as THAT WAS and IS part of my process, I share it because if you’re watching my channel then you’re going to get the truth about how I changed my diet. Sometimes having the stomach turned is what helped me decide not to put certain things in my mouth 😉
