I think in spite of their view she still honored the mother in law/family. She carried food every day to her on her sick bed. She cared for her mother in law in spite of the disapproval out of love for her husband. She did something “traditional “ and “respectful “ if you think about it. ❤Glad they were able to have these moments. Family is important

Iim 74 and have lost my mother and my wife in the last 25 years so I know your suffering I also understand your confusion as I wasn’t talking to my mother on the day she died . Only with the passing of time have I been able to partly heal most by trying to understand as much of the family dynamic as I could. For example your mum was once a little girl with dreams of her own then she spent years bringing you and your sister up in a different time to the one you’re living in with different pressures than the ones you have from surrounding family and society. Trying to understand your mum I mean really understand will help you much more than noticing what’s wrong her . One of the greatest areas of conflict in any family around the world ( I’m Scottish / polish , is between the mother in law and the new wife and I’ll leave it up to you to work that out , was your new wife too cocky too brash did your mum feel insecure and what would you do if one of your daughters married a North Korean and they went to live there. , you need to be totally honest if you want to come out of the darkness and live the rest of your life in peace. Only you know the answers although a grief councillor may help. Ps grief never leaves you , you learn to live with it . ❤️ps I never had a father and my step father was abusive so iv been spared that suffering of losing a dad but then again I never experienced his love however my polish grandfather unconditional love has stayed with me for 74 years 🥲

This young man is amazing. I am sorry for your lost. Dad needed to go to heaven, and rest. At some point we all need to rest.💛. When especially parents do wrong to thier kids it is not to hurt thier kids , it is because they are hurt, and not know how to handle it. Forgiveness is not a dismissal of wrong doings. It is to let it go, and not be bothered by it. In other words you free yourself from hurting any more, bc you did not do anything wrong.💛. And the wife you tell your husband you forgive his dad , and you don't have to recite all dad's shortcomings. The dad is never against you it was about he did not get his wish. The dad did not have the ability how to handle it.
