I’m Irish and have been living in London for ten years. I’ve worked in music and media for two and a half decades, and I'm a big supporter of arts and culture.
I present and produce a radio show, The London Ear, every week from my home in South East London, and broadcast on RTE 2XM in Ireland. The London Ear gives you an insight into some of the things I see here in London and gives a voice to the Irish community outside Ireland and shines a light on their work the arts.

Giants fan?? Ive been a cubs fan my whole life if you ever make it to the state you have to see them at Wrigley Field its a classic ballpark.
Yup, Giants Fan, I started watching them in 2003 during a bout of insomnia! Would love to get to the States for some games. Haven't been to SF for one - I have been to SF, just not when I watched baseball. But, I do remember passing the legendary Candlestick Park on a bus!! I see the Women's Soccer was played at Wrigley too this weekend! Thanks for dropping by!

Are there some aspects of the USA that folk of these islands find strange, questionable and alien? Yes. Do we like eating hot dogs and cheering on blokes running round bases? Yes. These things are not even remotely linked and the idea that this could form some kind of cognative dissonance is laughable. PS - If you don't want folk to "talk shit" about the USA, don't do sh*tty things. Do more good things, the sort of things 53,000 people from all over will turn up to watch, experience and enjoy.

What is the Televised situation in England/London? Do u get the MLB network and watch games off that/their link(s)? Are there stations broadcasting form the states, Like WGN or TBS which televise exclusively the home team(s) like the Cubs or the Braves? Curious. I can watch Premier League Football on certain stations here, but only on certain days and except for Sat./Sun. it's normally only 1 game. Loved this video THANKS.
Thanks for dropping by, glad you like it! It's on the BBC, the online bbc player and on TNT sports, but if you have the MLB app, you don't get coverage. Same as other games in your terrority in the US. Otherwise, it's the MLB app or MLB Network if you have that but TNT sports show some games and you can get some games through AppleTV.

lifelong Mets fan from Brooklyn/NY, I'll be traveling over next Thursday (June 6th); leaving super early as im doing a daytime flight from JFK to Heathrow, hope to arrive by 8pm. I'll also be seeing England/Iceland @ Wembley,, as well as checking out the new "108" facility in Brent Cross, then Trafalgar Square early afternoon on Saturday (June 8th) & then be by London Stadium for a pregame tailgate/meetup with Mets fans from across the globe for both days.

@@nessymon that aint happening lol, if anything its gunna be Dodgers/Giants; rivalry is well over a century old. I was fortunate on Saturday night at the hotel Im staying @ to run into the CEO of London Stadium & he asked me what my thoughts were about the transformation of London Stadium during baseball, and I said that "now that Ive done both football & baseball there, the baseball layout/environment with Mets/Phillies was 1,000x better than 5 years ago & when I was there for West Ham football in October 2022", this sentiment was shared by everyone (staff, fans etc..). There was definitely a large presence of Mets fans from the UK & across Europe, which the CEO was ecstatic to see & that it could lead him to thinking about bringing the Mets back sooner than expected.
@danpowers3775 would love to see the Giants in London. Not sure if you can compare NFL and MLB in London right now.. Wembley for example has 90k capacity.. interesting times ahead. Also, you have to remember London Stadiums wasn't built for football, it was built for athletics, West Ham was really just a byproduct.

Hi there @a.noxsox5060 Thanks for dropping by! I've always been a Liverpool supporters but I've been living in South East London for years and heard about London City. I can get a train from my local station to their games. What really interested me was that they are a completely independent team, they split from Millwall a few years ago and I'd love to see them do well. Also, there's a massive difference between WSL and the Championship, the Championship is very grass roots. I really like that too. Looking forward to getting back there!

@@nessymon I wasn't at the game but I'm a season ticket holder... It's nice to see young players get the chance! I watched a Charlton RB called Richard Chin and he performed really well in this trophy last season

Yeah, I'm not sure there are any of the auld nuns left in there. There were one or 2 nuns that I did get on with but the head when I was there was just pure vile.
